Hi. I know this questions may have been asked before but couldnt find any. Is there anyway that you can make large airfield (Grass prefered.) where you could start and takeoff in line like in real life scramble. I would like to use it on my upcoming movie.

If you look through this sticky, you may find some tips about that sort of thing:
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/50910533/m/835104564 There are a few maps that have airfields similar to that, such as NorthWestEurope, for example. How it actually works in practice will depend on whether you use AI to do all the flying, or live pilots, though. Live pilots would be best if you can get them, as they can taxi and line up exactly how you want. Other than that, some people have had good success with placing the invisible Test Runway #4 overtop of flat terrain. Test Runways are under the Static Ships menu in the FMB. |

You need to use testrunways and sett your plane on it like you do on aircraft carrier...

Cant make it work. I try to make an line take off start to Desert online map on the airfield. But when i start the plane bounces and drops to surrent death.

Sounds like you've not set test runway as target for 1st WP |

I put waypoint as an takeoff and it goes end of test runway 4.
Another try was to put it on normandy map but wouldnt work. Expect that i was taking off with spitfires from ground wich is kinda way cool but when landing its an pickle. |

Set your waypoint for takeoff AND on the waypoint tab click "set target" then click on the runways icon (middle of runway). Fail to do this and your plane will drop from about 50 ft onto the runway and explode. |

at t'other place.... I used the map building FMB to make a strip of 12 take-off and landing waypoints side-by-side...

Another way of using un-regulated terrain for takeoff and landing is version 4.09b1m
For instance, the Slovakia map has some unregulated airfields and these are very well suited to shoot a movie on (I vaguely remember the topic starter mentioning movies If you have 4.09b1m you can check out a line takeoff in the first mission of this year's pilot skills competition at the LLTM. You can find it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=3356 By the way, that map features double circuit handling as it has some multiple handling points unlike 4.08. So let the mission run until the end and you will see parallel landing too!! |

I set 4 test runways side-by-side and found that flights of 3 I-153s will spawn in line-abreast. I don't think you'd fit 4 I-153s in, as all 12 I-153s that do spawn are almost wingtip-to-wingtip. It was a surprise,as usually flights spawn in line-astern.
The flights spawn with the leader on the left, so by putting the lead flight on the left-hand runway the sqn starts in number order from the left. It looks even better than I'd expected |
