JG5_Tigger

I think the issues lie with my OS principally.

The Vista OS, has a virtualization thingy built into it.

VirtualStore is the folder name.

Google on "Vista VirtualStore" or "Vista Virtualization" you'll get plenty of places to find out more.

I never could find a way to build a module.

I got NO ERROR MESSAGES

This is an attractive tool, and should be a terrific time saver.

Also, your documents are good, but not precise enough.

I spent several hours trying to use it. Maybe when I get more time... I can give you a better assessment of issues.

Thanks for your response

Hi Tigger,

Are any updates coming that will let you add MOD maps and objects?

I'm doing the Pacific War using Slot maps now.

It will be awhile or maybe longer before I go back to IL2 maps.

The New Guinea maps are coming soon from the Slot team so they'll be next on my pallet.

It seems this tool is Vista uncompatible.

Doesn't work here either.

Hi Jure_502

I have Vista-64 and I did have trouble with QOT. But after downloading Servica Pack 1 the problem was solved and now the tool works fine with me.

Hmm, that's strange, beacuse I already have service pack 1 installed. Surprised

@Jure_502: Your problem is the permissions of the vista. Plz, try the new patch 3.06.

All the interest in the new additions to the Il2 series has generated alot of new interest in the IL2 mission/campaign building.

Don't know what kind of problems you would have, but an updated version would be appreciated.

I am using vista 64 bit, and probably there are many others as well running quad processors with 4+gigs of ram.

I get the same kind of error messages as well.

Thanks

@Jure_502: I can see, your qot-updater is starting well. It is very good. So, your new error is not a error of the tool but of your firewall. You cannot connect to the ftp-server because your firewall is blocking your connection.

Are you planning to open up the program abit to allow loading other maps (mod)?

I realize you also load pre-defined block areas as well. That might require a few changes to accomodate or better still let users pick coordinates of the block areas.

Anyway, since I'm using the SLOT the Object tool is not much help. When I try to load a mission it puts up the ardennen map.

I enjoyed the tool prior to the new stuff.

Thanks

The new patch for the updater of QOT is available now ("Quick Object Tool" Updater Patch -> 1.09). The updater of QOT doesn't work without this patch. Plz download this patch and install this patch into main directory of QOT.

Download

Content of the new patch:

1. You can upload your moduls now. Plz create for this a new directory "Upload" in the directory "Daten" and copy all your moduls you will to upload to the server. Start the updater now and set the checkmark for upload. Start the update. Your moduls will be checked by me after upload and allowed to download for other users.

2. The Bessarabia-map was completed and is available for download now.

Have fun!
