I downloaded and installed the quick Object tools from:

http://www.jg5.de/

/technik/download/

My AVG virus scanner found a trojan horse virus in the installation, called generic9.amub

My scanner isolated it into the virus vault, and the program works fine it appears.

Thought this might be of help to someone or the software developer. I don't honestly believe it is intentional, but nevertheless... it's there.

Actually AVG does see a lot of ghosts. It even dubbed my spyware cleaner a "phishing tool" Roll Eyes

So...

Are you saying ignore a trojan horse warning and just install it anyway?

I did install it, but I put the "bad" file into the virus vault. I don't know if it will affect the software or not, since I don't know it's purpose.

Also, haven't spent much time with the software to learn for myself.

I say that the AVG virus scanner yelps more often than necessary (= sees trojans and viruses where they ain't). However the alternative would be worse so I keep it.

this has a virus, and the dev sent me an email indicating he used an open-source installer tool. He didn't realize it.

He indicated he would correct it this week sometime and make it available in a rar file, in lieu of a installer.

This tool allows you to put a group of objects together like you want them placed. Then make a module file from them. You can then take the module and place it on other maps and place the module composed of your objects where you want it. You may also rotate thru 360 degrees to get proper alignment.

This is a huge help when you are building missions and you need to set up object groups to make your missions more interesting.

I can't tell you how good or even if it works, but I would think it works.
