I found two profiles so made both of them and included roundel only versions for use as static aircraft.

WOW!GIMME GIMME GIMME.....oh, Uh, I mean, very nice. I could sure use those.
Man you are the master. Yeah, I want those. I saw some shots of mixed metal and camo spits also in those squadrons. So I can use em all. Yeah, I may as well go nuts with it. ------------------------------ Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is......awake! |

Nightshifter, I applied one of hte schemes to the 25lb spit, as they all fit each other regardless of wingtips. I was using that already as the griffin engine planes. Note in the photographs that there are a mix of metal and camo spits, as well as bubble and razor back cockpits. My dad saw both styles of canopy.
They have an assortment of insignias as well, but I think they sorted that out and got a bit more organized in a yr or so. Note teh assortment of wingtip styles also, this shot showing the tip being removed on this one. That's all they had to do to make a clp wing, just replace the tip. Here's another one. Here's a line up I made at Kita Kyushu AFB I built. I have to use the 9c and 9e as static planes since the 25lb doesn't have its own static plane folder. I used it on the 9e static plane as the 9c was already used in the appropriate folder in the skin mod. I stuck with the 25lb spit because of the performance and for use in the coop versions of the misns. A shot in a combat misn. Looks good in the sunset. ------------------------------ Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is......awake! |

Hi Mate,
I can easily make a full winged version if you like, from those screenshots you can see that the Nav lights are still in the clipped wing area. Let me know if you want me to as it won't take more than 5 mins to add the full wing nav lights |

Well that shows you how alert I am.....Yeah, I could sure use the correct version whenever you have time to do that. I would never have noticed that.
It does look pretty good though. Im gonna use the clip wing version next time I fly online wiht my squadron guys. I always use my skins for this cmpn for advertising, which is kinda goofy considering that I don't make any money off htis. ------------------------------ Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is......awake! |

As soon as I can man, as Im working at least a couple of hrs on it every day, and usually alot more. Im having to go back through all the misns and tweak a bit, and make some improvements.
I also have to come up with just a few more to finish the story, so it will be a few more weeks im afraid. However, rest assured that I'm working intensely on it, and am even getting a couple of last min skins from Beebop for it. I worked three hrs tonight on it also. I want it to be right, and there's alot of detail work to check. It WILL be released though, and as soon as I can. Check the post I made on it in the paint forum to. ------------------------------ Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is......awake! |

Five missions into the testing and so far, it has been a real disappointment.
As in disappointment I didn't get my hands on this earlier... IT IS FANTASTIC. A bit rough on the ol' machine as there are tons of planes in it...but boy, what a ride it is. Well done Enforcer. THanks JP. Im gonna send out alot more misns to the testers tomorrow Hopefully. Ive had to modify them to use the skin mod, and that means changing the nationality of alot of static planes to "none" so the proper skin will show up.
I also need to get to the coop versions as well. Gonna need to modify alot more of them to be coops. Takes a bit more time than most realize, as you have to make alot of changes taking into consideration the changes human pilots need in all the different cockpits. ------------------------------ Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is......awake! |

Ok, here's an update on my misn testing with some screens from a couple of misns. One is a dusk misn after youv'e returned to your "secret" base in Nationalist Chinese territory. The constant attacks by Mao's insurgents are bad enough, but now the VVS has discovered your base and is cobbling together anything and everything available to rub it out. There are only Two P-80s to assist the Marine alert Corsairs in dealing with the combination of planes the Soviets have thrown against the base on short notice.
You light your engines as a flight of Il-10s spray the AC parking areas. I had to do some "arranging" to get this Mossie to blow up as you make a desperate take off run. You better unstick as quick as you can, as the sky is filling up with commie planes all flown by guys named Ivan and Vladimir, and they are very annoyed that you and your RAF and Marine buddies have camped out so close to their backyard. The ready alert Marines get into the air a bit before you do and manage to keep these guys off you long enough for you to get airborne. This particular time one of the Il-10s takes a direct hit from AA and vaporizes. Looked pretty cool from the cockpit of my P-80. You don't have time to get up much speed, so at low altitude right over the base you really don't have that much of an advantage over the prop planes. The Il-10s are just the lead element; there's lots of stuff trying to kill you.....as usual. I still managed to do ok though. And now for something completely different. this is a nice skin by BH-21 for some B-25s the VVS have moved up to counter the western menace on their border. Those guys are pulling everything out from the closet to counter this unexpected move so close to their flank. ------------------------------ Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is......awake! |

You manage to get a couple of hrs sleep despite the frequent mortar and arty rds coming in, but get awakened by a large scale attack including tanks and armored cars; you didn't know Mao's guys were so well armed. The Marine contingent responds with its own armor, much of which has just been offloaded from an LST at the river mouth. The insurgents' first target is the radar shack, and there is a large VVS raid inbound that is obviously coordinated with the insurgent attack. There are no servicable P-80s, but you run and grab one of your old rides again, waiting till a couple of Marine vehicles cross the runway.
An Army L-19 is trying to spot for the Marine artillery and comes under attack from a Pe-3. Yeah, I know they didn't have guns in the cabin, but let's just say a Marine observer took a BAR along with him.....hey, it could happen. Those guys carried all sorts of stuff with them. I guess they found out that Bird-dogs (or Storches being hacked as them) aren't that easy to bring down. Meanwhile, a number of AC are making approaches to the base and get involved in defending the base from a mass of Soviet planes, including an absurd number of Po-2s (U2s) from a nearby training base. These things are NOT easy to bring down and are very manuverable. A flight of Pe-2s also is attacking, but gets bounced and decimated by a single ANG P-70 that I didn't even realize was there until I watched the track. I just thought this was cool. Kaboom! this lit up the whole place including the cockpit of my plane some distance away. Didn't have any idea what it was until I saw the track. Meanwhile, i was wading in amongst all these Po-2s. For some reason the nights aren't nearly as dark as they used to be in the sim, but the searchlights help point out what direction they are coming from. Once though, I thought I was going after Po-2s and they turned out to be Pe-3s. I finally did engage the Po-2s this time I flew the misn. One thing I like about this kind of cmpn misn is that it always plays differently. The effect of the searchlights is pretty impressive. As I hit one of the biplanes, a burning Pe-3 I had just hit came rolling past me. Looked cool. ------------------------------ Sleep tight tonight, your Air Force is......awake! |
