I can't get artillery to shoot:

Choose objects from the Artillery or Stationary Armor menus instead of the Stationary Objects menu. Stationary objects will serve as targets, but apart from that they're only eye candy.

I can't get fighters to protect bombers:

Assign all the waypoints for your bombers. Include waypoints for the location where you wish the escort to join and where you wish the escort to end.

Assign parallel waypoints for your fighter escort. With the fighter flight still selected, at each point in the course where you wish the escort to continue, select the waypoint tab for the relevant waypoint and click the "Set" button, then click on the corresponding bomber waypoint. Your AI will now stick close to the bomber group and attack any enemy they perceive as a threat to the bombers.

I can't get my briefing to show:

IL2/FB does not handle long file names or file names with non alpha-numeric characters well. Change the .mis & .properties file names so that only letters and numbers are used and there are no spaces. Make sure the parts of the file names before the extensions are identical.

I can't get separate mission briefings for each side:

The structure for separate mission briefings looks like this:

Text that appears before any of the ARMY tags
can be seen by both sides at all times, even
after they've selected a home base or aircraft.

<ARMY NONE>
Text that appears between the ARMY NONE | /ARMY
tags can only be seen when players first join.
As soon as they choose a homebase or aircraft, this text will disappear.
</ARMY>

<ARMY RED>
Text in the ARMY RED tags can only be seen by
players who currently have a red
homebase/aircraft selected.
</ARMY>

<ARMY BLUE>
Text inside the ARMY BLUE tags will only be
seen by players who currently have a blue
base/airplane selected.
</ARMY>

I have a question!
When I create a mission, sometime it says
something like :

Chief'0'Chief contains only one waypoint,

sometimes with a different number.
It hapen when I try to save my mission and I can't .. so I lose it.

This seems to happen when you place a non static object on the map but fail to give it at least one way point.
If your not careful you can end up searching through dozens of objects trying to find the one you missed - trust me I know Big Grin
As soon as you place an object give at least one way point Big Grin

This seems to happen when you place a non static object on the map without setting a second waypoint, the starting point counts as waypoint one, you must set another waypoint to save.

Hi!
I have a new question.
When I play multiplayer dogfight, the maps are modified, we can also respawn somewhere else like close to the hangar.
In a map editor

how can I do that,

btw I have the IL-2 custom map editor.. the default one
And is there another map editor? a better one,

if yes.. who has a link

I can't make a scripted dogfight map. How do I do that?

Monson

"So when Diogenes perceived that he was greatly excited and quite keyed up in mind with expectancy, he toyed with him and pulled him about in the hope that somehow he might be moved from his pride and thirst for glory and be able to sober up a little. For he noticed that at one time he was delighted, and at another grieved at the same thing, and that his soul was as unsettled as the weather at the solstices when both rain and sunshine come from the very same source."

Hello Tully,
I got a question about Forgotten Battles.

If I start the full mission builder, i can load maps, edit the subscription the weather conditions etc, but i can't use EDIT to add planes or all stuff like that, how can I make a map??

And slo (i know it should not be posted here, but i think you can help me with this easily) there are no crosshairs in my ME262s, Bf109g2's etc, is there a patch for this?

Shift F1 to centre your gun sight in the German planes.

I find that some of the missions I'd actually like my guys (in coop) to have to look for- like ship convoys for example. Routine war patrol type stuff. Unfortunately, the way I'm doing it now, I simply don't designate any gattack waypoints and instead just outline the patrol area. Unfortunately, if it's just AI- or a human player mixed with a few AI in different pairs, that they'll shoot down an aircraft throughout the patrol and then call the mission over without following the rest of the waypoints and finishing the patrol. Any way to get them to make sure they go through the rest of the waypoints?

If they run out of ammo or are damaged they will go home. My guess is they are running out of ammo.

how can i get a flight of four planes (C47 for example) each towing a glider. I tried in 2.04, but only one is towed, the others are flying independantly.

I don't think it's possible. The reason is that only one glider can take off from a runway at the same time because of the long cable that connects the planes. Use four individual flights and connect them by using the 'Set' feature.
