Now that you mention it.....
I downloaded the skin file first, (skin junkie here), mainly because it was smaller than the campaign file. That download took over half an hour on my high speed cable connect, (not complaining just noting), so I thought after I d/l'ed the skin file I would do the campaign files. What I discovered was, when I opened the skin file was there was nothing in it, nothing at all. I've never had this problem with any file from the site before including the large template files. I don't use download managers as even large files download as fast as the d/l host can manage.
Any ideas?

My skin file appears to have downloaded fine and the campaign file came out exactly like steve_v's. Just so you know Beebop there are other skins in the campaign file too for other planes.

The problem with the wrong directory existed about half an hour after the upload. After that it was corrected.
Might be you got a cached version on some proxyserver.
I have no clue for the empty zip-file.
Only that it's something that happens to me lately from many sites when I choose to open a ZIP-file immediately instead of saving it to disk first. So, make sure to save it to disk and open it from disk.

We've had a few reports of empty zip files at M4T, it seems to be a bug with Winzip, there does not appear to be a fix for this except for, as Serval_1JaVA said, saving the file to disc instead of opening file immediately

OK, Im not getting any of those nav buttons on my screen. Im using IE, but i cant find which version because there is no info category in the help file up top. Its the one that came with windows XP on my computer when i got it last yr.

It's just blank where there's supposed to be nav buttons, and Ive turned off all my firewall etc. I have no idea why that is, but ive encountered that problem before, which is why I uploaded my cmpn to several sites.

Any ideas how I can get around this, or why Im the only carbon based life form on this miserable planet (until i revert to my origianl silicon based self and return home) that is having this goofy a s s problem? Blink

Well, the site is especially designed for IE. All the trinkets of the site work in it.

And it orrurs as strange to me that you have even no Info section in your help menu. My IE has it. Makes me suspect your IE is not complete...

Wow, Im just a few misns in, and Im really impressed so far, and it's kinda hard to do that with me.

The moment I stepped in this thing, I had a sudden hunger for beer and saurkraut. I had no idea the 110 could be so fun (and it has a few little bugs that are kinda odd, but very minor).

The Polish cmpn was a blast, kinda hard dogfighting those P-11s, but once you use your speed to control the fight, those things are pretty easy to light up.

The phony war is well portrayed, and i actually broke my record for the number of kills in a misn while doing a Blenhiem intercept. Now dont assume this is not realistic, since those were often on unescorted misns early on and served as targets.

I got nine of them in a massive intercept as my entire staffel barely managed to climb to altitude in time, and not before they bombed the Bremen ship yards (and missed, clobbeing a city block-very realistic actually).

This took me nearly 45 mins to complete, and I was running on fumes when I landed.

(Assuming the voice of Artie Jonson, and if youre too young to remember who that is, dont ask)This was a veeerry interesting mission.
AFter chasing these guys to the coast, we finally started to catch up, and i had no idea how fast Blens were.

After an exceedingly long chase, my staffel and I started attriting them rather well, as I got five by the time I reached the coast. The 110 is such a stable gun platform and has so much firepower that you can start taking accurate bursts at long range, before the gunners get too effective. STill, these things were kinda tuff, and They didnt all want go down without a ffight. They also kept taking evasive action. I was releived to see that the bombers didnt have skill levels so high that the gunners were like the usual androids.

While my staffel was busy decimating the rather determined Englanders, I saw a formation of four heading away from the fight farther out to sea, so I took out after them. AFter a long chase, i caught up, and hit all four of them in a running battle. However, I couldnt seem to bring them down, as I had four smokers in the air at one time.

These guys didnt know when to quit, and I ran out of 20mm by then, and was even manuvering to give my gunner a few shots at them.

Finally they started plopping down into the drink one after another, usually crash landing. I watched warily for fighters as I kept after them.

Between their evasive action and the gunners, I had to manuver pretty close to water sometimes, having to come in so close to max the effectiveness of my 3 remaining 7.92mm guns.
(one was dammaged)

Finally the leader splashed, and I flew overhead waggling my wings. I suddenly realized that I had made the enemy coast and decided it was time to go home. My staffel had already landed and was swapping lies, having ignored GCI's repeated orders for them to assist me.
Bunch of putzes.

When I got back, I was ordered to taxi to the HQ bldg, where Fatso Hermann himself was waiting to congratulate me. He informed me that I was to pose for the next issue cover of "the sourkraut cookbook" to commemorate my victory over the upstart Englanders.

This is a very well done and researched cmpn. After I finish testing Zeus's project (another good one) Ill finish this one. Somebody should link this thread to the GD one so everybody can see the availibility of this cmpn. bow

You can have no idea just how hostile aircraft can be until they come to your area...
Aircraft which strafe or bomb your positions should be regarded with suspicion, if not deep mistrust. Aircraft which bomb and strafe your position and wear a red circle should certainly be regarded with deep mistrust. In fact, the deeper the better. A six-foot-deep slit trench is an ideal place from which to mistrust them...

I posted in the other thread also, not sure where it would be better. I'm getting errors when trying to unzip the files. It appears to be mostly skin files and more specifically the blanks. I downloaded and deleted several times (thank god for highspeed internet), but I get the same errors. Anyone else?

Have you tried the solution that was suggested? Save the file to disk first, then unzip. If you want to get rid of the saved zip file later, you can simply delete it.

Did you download it from M4T or from 1java.org?

mission 7 now!
i must say that the campaign is Relly Relly good. Clap

those p.11 were anoying.
Blendheims and the dutch planes are much easyer to kill.

7. mission
10 kills

the firepower is the best advantage of it
when u fire evrything falls off the target and the plane does not shake from recoil due to its size.
it makes shooting much easyer.
