*edit dec. 29th, 2007: version 2 availabe at m4t!

With the Spanish civil war over, you are recalled to Germany. Your operational record makes you one of the best in the service when it comes to combining the fighter role with the ground attack role. Your sorties have brought about many decisions in the Spanish conflict. You helped evolve new tactics for ground attack. How could anything still excite you?

Well, since the elite of the Luftwaffe should get the best equipment first, you now have a chance to trade in your old faithful He-51 for the latest the service has to offer.
Just imagine being posted to one of the first squadrons to receive the brand new Messerschmitt!!
In one day, you go from 750 horsepower to 2100 horsepower, and you trade the two rifle calibre MGs for four, plus twin 20mm cannon! Your top speed will increase by a spectacular 225 Km/h, as this aircraft is the fastest in the Luftwaffe.

The annual war games help you get used to this fast machine; you do a lot of low level stuff. The idea is to cross the front line at high cruising speed, close to 400 Km/h, in order to penetrate deeply into enemy territory, surprising enemy a/c on the ground; if they dare to scramble, they will pay the price!
On the way to targets, enemy fighters will be unable to intercept; you will be much too fast for them. Should the enemy try to squeeze in a shot, you have tremendous firepower to blow them right out of the sky.

Of course, there are things that need work. This big bird is not the ideal dogfighter, but you have rearward firing defence, and improved versions are planned for production. Anyway, criticism of Goerings new favourite aircraft, the Zerstoerer, will get you a court- martial in no time, so its best to forget about those little drawbacks altogether.

For the time being, you relish the idea of being one of the happy few that were chosen for this job. Others were less fortunate, they have to put up with the Bf109. With their limited endurance there is hardly any hope for the Bf109 units of getting an offensive task; they will have to stay in Germany to defend the Reich.
But not you! If all goes well, you will soon become one of the Luftwaffe high scoring aces! High expectations are nothing new to you, so living up to them wont be a problem at all. Or will it?

Little are you to know just how much hardship you will have to endure, sometimes with as much as 1500 Kgs of ordnance slung underneath, with countless FLAK guns barking at point blank range, sometimes flying in the worst of weather, or even flying by night without the benefit of radar.
Moving from one base to another, you need to be a really tough cookie to cope with it AND survive. The circumstances will be different every time, just like the battle below you; no wonder, because you will go everywhere the Luftwaffe goes.

You will fly over sea, sand and snow, from

MURMANSK TO MOROCCO...

About two months I've been enjoyed immensely with this Bf110 campaign made by Bogustogus.
Testing it...!

Basically it'll let you fly missions throughout the entire war, in just about every theatre the 110 was used...

It's got good quality briefings, comes with lots of skins, has got a lot of variety in the missions, and some nice suprises too Cool

Short missions, long missions, instant action, airstarts, GA, DF, escort, recce, it's all there!
(And them combined!)

Mostly I'm an offliner, and have played a lot of campaigns made by community members.

To me, this one sticks out above any other I've played, in having fun, being immersed, being enjoyed.
(Well, except maybe for Castaways! Smile Smile Haven't tried Bushpigs yet! Cool )

So, if you think pilotting the Bf-110 is fun, or even just like it a bit, try this one!

It was about damn time someone made a decent 110 campaign! Wink

I've also been fortunate enough to test this campaign and no doubt about it, it's outstanding.
Although the 110 has it's limitations as a dogfighter, in this campaign, as long as you don't do anything stupid, i.e. go off on your own, the missions are very doable.

Well done,

Well the only thing on there I see that's dnloadable are the virus alerts. I dont see "downloads" anywhere, so could you please direct me a bit here. Perhaps a link directly to the dnload section?

I know i may be missing something obvious, but i just cant find anything to click on there.

And I really wanna try out your project, which obviously took alot of research and effort (been there, done that).

I also had the good fortune to test this campaign and agree with Fooltrottle - it is one of the best (and most immersive) offline campaigns I have flown. It has oodles of (mission) variations that keep the interest level up there where you want to try just one more mission before calling it a night.
I have only got a 2.4 Hz, 1.3 GIG RAM, Nvidia 5900 Ultra system with TR2, but during testing only experience a slide show in two missions. These two heavy systems user missions have been reduced in intensity by the author I believe.
Go for it folks - you won't be disappointed.

I just double checked the downloads.
They are valid ZIP-files and are NOT infected with any virus according to 6 different scanners.

Please make sure your own system is not infected.
I get similar reports every now and then. One kept me busy for two weeks and made me buy and install all kinds of scanners just to find the source, to finally hear the complainers own system was infected.

Too often when people think a site infected them, the source was something else and kicking in a while later (just what I would do as a virus just not to betray where I really came from).

Enforcer. Once at the linked page look on the left for "Downloads" Then go to "Missions". there are currently only two there, the 110 campaign being at the top. Click on that and you're there. There will be two files, (and lots of cool teaser pics), the campaign zipfile and the skinpack zipfile.

And Serval, he wasn't implying the files were infected. He was talking about the virus alerts on the right hand side of the page you provide as a service.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read it in English, thank a veteran.

Sintubin, thank you very much indeed Eek you are most generous! Running a server like the 1java server, with loads of skins (and loads of missions of ALL kinds in the near future whisper) is not exactly free of charge... especially the amount of data exchanged can drive up the costs immensely!

On behalf of the squad, thanks again m8 Thumbs Up

Ok, I hate to sound really dumb AND blind, but I swear there is nothing that says downloads that I can see anywhere on that screen. I think I have a unique problem that is only affecting my computer. Confused

Is it supposed to be in the area just beneath the orange triangle insignia? It looks like a perfect place for link buttons like that, but there is nothing there at all when I get there, and Ive clicked all over it, and nothing. I cant save a screenie of it, though i did dnload the entire page.

If it's in the scrollable section on the right, i still see nothing there that you can actually dnload anything from, and ive clicked all over that to.

Ive been doing this stuff for well over a decade, so I'm not a TOTAL noob (though I do overlook obvious stuff sometimes, like dropping my tail hook etc). I just see a blank space under the triangle insig and the movable space to the right, which certainly has nothing marked dnload. If there is a button on the left of the page, then for some reason Im not dnloading it, and Ive turned off my firewall and even PC doctor. I just need to know for sure if it IS supposed to be in the blank section under the insignia. I think i have a computer screw up here.Smash

Which browser are you using? (name AND version, to be found under HELP-INFO in the browsers top menu).
Is the left hand panel white of does it have this brownish color?

The site works with IE (designed on that), Netscape 4+, Firefox 1+ and Opera 5+.
The menu should load there with all of them even in Native mode, so no IE emulation. Just a few minor functions like the ticking watch doesn't work with all.

I don't believe the mission archieve unzips in the intended fashion. Please recheck. Thanks.

edit: specifically, two campaign folders are created, campaign and campaigns, one containing the missions, ect., while the other is empty.
