...in a "fantasy campaign"?
Well, I'm thinking about a totally non-historical campaign, in a Mad Max-like world. The story would be something like: In 1944 not only the americans, but the germans, the russians and the japanese make their own atomic bomb. Consequences: armageddon, nuclear winter, collapse of the human civilisation, and so on. Now in this Mad Max world, separate groups fight each other for water/oil/liveable places. And this is where you come in the picture, as a mercenary pilot, who has the rare ability to drive those old flying machines. You would start in a village in the middle of nowhere with a single, crappy plane (Cr 42, Gladiator), and you would get better and better aircrafts, as you get hired by the warlords of more developed cities. Your missions would be like "kill the leader of a motor gang, who ran away with the local chief's wife" or "fly to an enemy airfield at night with a bomber, land, and kill as much as you can with your def. guns", or "defend the convoy, which carries the precious oil" The ultimate goal of the campaign, is to find the last remaining part of the civilised world, and live there happily ever after. So, what is your opinion about? Because this campaign would require lots of weird skins and weirder structures from FMB objects, and I don't have the talent/time/practice to create them. |

I'll try, thx.
I could write the briefings and the mission scenarios, but I really svck for example in skinning. |

Sounds like a cool campaign, but I'm not experienced enough. I have tried making several alternate history missions and such. Great idea though.

You have good mission ideas. That's half the battle. If you can write the briefings and come up with the storyline, that's %35 more.
The last %15 is just opening up the FMB and throwing it all together. The FMB just takes some experimentation is all. B50 |

It wouldn't be as good as my putative "Bee Gees" campaign, in which the high-pitched popstars battle to the death against other seventies pop acts such as Abba, The Ramones, The Village People etc. in order to gain a lucrative recording contract with the Robert Stigwood Organisation.
It was the voices and skins that stopped me. Unique skins for each band member's plane, and the Gibb Brothers singing "Ah ah ah ah Staying Alive" when they bailed out..... _________________________ It is bad enough that a grown man should spend the greater balance of his time playing a game on a computer. It is yet worse that he should spend the remainder of his time arguing about it on the internet. |
