I can put 5+ planes on the runway to take off no problem but when i watch the take off only the first 4 planes fly to the waypoint, the rest just circle round and round. I figure it's because I need to do all the way[points for the mission for each group of 4, but when I try to select the other 4 planes , not the first 4 which are flying ok, i can't seem to. it seems to only select the first 4. What do i need to do to get 8 or more planes to fly togeter to the waypoints?

Glad you got it sorted out. As you know you need waypoints for all the flights, but you can also attach the other flights to the leader. Just use the set function on the waypoint screen for each flight. Attach the following flights to the leader. Normally used for fighters to follow bombers, but it also works for bombers to follow their leader.

Quite a good way to get bombers into formation without lots of painstaking trial and error and without recourse to airstarts. Seems this is an AI feature, so if the lead pilot is a human he needs to engage autopilot before the followers will start forming on him. However, you don't need to keep auto 'on' and can turn it back off right away; the AI planes will continue to form-up and follow.
