This screenshot:
Shows combat engineers trying to by-pass a knocked out bridge in the jungles of Burma Many different objects, including concrete slabs, several bunkers from PF, and fencing were used, as well as V-1 launch rails |

That's excellent! I never even considered that.
And thanks again to Extreme_One for making this a "sticky". "Official Lancaster whiner" |

It's just a small taste compared to what some other builders can do.
Laying objects on top of each other so that they 'meld' is a trick I picked up from making OFP missions. One thing that I get comments on recently is airfields I think maybe that some builders don't know how to do it because they just don't know what they looked like. An airfield is a workplace as much as a military base- people are careless and sloppy when they can get away with it Take this photo for example: That's a real WWII airbase, Martlesham Heath, UK. The planes aren't picture-perfect deployed, things look a bit messy, and the planes aren't always grouped together, and not always far apart I corresponded via e-mail with a real WWII bomber pilot (B-24s) who said that his squadron dispersed miles from the airfield Will post some airbase pics of aerodromes I've built |

This is an example of a volcano that took less than two minutes to build using (cliffs) Object #10 and Fire #2 and Smoke #2. If you took more time I'm sure it could be much nicer.
It's not my idea though. I read in another thread here that Monty66 came up with the idea. "Official Lancaster whiner" |

This:
Is what I do when I don't like the looks of an airbase- I drop another hangar on top of another. This was supposed to be IndoChina, so the 'crude' hangar looks more pleasing to me Some aircraft that look as if they are about to taxi to the runway: Can be a good trick, but it may look odd if the same a/c that were there when you took off are still patiently waiting when you get back Also remember that airplanes require maintenance |

Very nice stuff Chuck Older!
Here I come with the 'unproper' usage of small objects to make the scenery of a camp looking more populated. A bunch of candidates which can look from far as piles of objects, debris, you know all kind of little stuff which is inevitable in a camp: Now here's how i dispersed them in the camp: One can use them also to add to a battlefield, if I use just tanks artillery etc it simply looks to clean and boring. |

Brilliant work gents.
Here's my version of the Radar station on Oahu the morning of December 7th, 1941. "King of the Arthur" A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read it in English, thank a veteran. Mission 4 Today the place for all things IL-2/FB/PF/46 |

Nice work guys. I've started laying down alot of details for my SP campaigns that I'm working on. They will be much more detailed like these screenshots. The effort is very much worth it.
Apparently I have to keep upping the ante however. Those constructions are great! |

RxMan,
That's a cool prison camp! (If prison camps can be cool I guess.) If we had triggers in the FMB, that camp could be the base of some pretty interesting missions. "Official Lancaster whiner" |

Nice use of objects

Yes, thanks. The mission is to destroy the vehicles and guns without destroying too many of the central POW quarters, as there is a rescue column on the way in. Requires guns only of course. There's also a Japanese harbor nearby with destroyers docked, makes it kindof interesting. Usually I (we) end up using bombs and hope the POWs are working in the field somewhere.

Great stuff guys !! Love the attention to detail.
Merging objects can do a lot for your scenery.Like Chuck said, don't like one, drop another right on top of it or....right next to it. It's really useful when you want to cover something up, like when you make harbors. Here's 3 factories, end to end, covering up the base of the pier, notice the red pylons in the roofs for red becons.... You can also use block houses to cover joints in your seawalls.... Use block houses to cover up the ends too,and add some gun crews while your at it..... ****it! I was going to post shots of my AAA scenery but yours looks fantastic. I am humbled.
And I'm also stealing your idea. "Official Lancaster whiner" |

Here's a couple of ideas that seem to work OK.
In COOP you can have a carrier with planes on deck. And when attacked they look so much better than an empty carrier. To make it, set a couple of planes on deck first, with 0 fuel and 0 ordinance, this keeps them from launching. Then the next few groups with fuel and bombs, if hit with bombs this adds to the explosion and damage to the ship. |
