Anyone know if alternate history campagins are out there? If so, I would really appreciate someone directing me to them.

There is one that IceFire did with the Ta183 in Kurland, but the name escapes me......

I saw a Lerche campaign as well, but I haven't tried it.

I think that's about it. The alternate history campaigns aren't really that popular, it seems that most builders go for historical or semi-historical campaigns. Have you tried the ones that come with IL-2 1946?

I did Green Hearts: 1946 which is a Ta-183 JG54 campaign on the Kurland map. Lots of X-4 wire guided missile moments

I also did The Shooting Stars as my very first campaign featuring the YP-80. Doesn't use anything from 1946 as at the time all we had was Ace Expansion. Might update that one day.

I might do another alternate history campaign sometime but I haven't so far. Busy with Storm Clouds 2.0.

I'm 9 mos and over 30 misns into my Red-star/White-star 1947 cmpn based on my Dad's service in the 5th AF occupation force in Kyushu, but with shooting.

It will be mostly a P-80 cmpn, but you will fly some misns in Ga. ANG P47s and Marine Corsairs.....the main character is a former Marine pilot during the war that wound up in the USAF (which was born one month before the scenario in my cmnp). My dad said several Marine and Navy pilots were retreads in the AF at the time he was there.

Lots of period skins, some already existing, but many are special made jobs for various machines. Several hacks are used (like the I-185 for the La-9 and the Ta-183 for the La-16).

You not only defend Japan from several bases, but you escort LeMay's B-29s on raids against the Soviet mainland, including Vladivostok.

I'm making coop versions of many of the misns. Ill be posting some screeens pretty soon, and Im HOPING for finishing it by the end of march. I have to work alot these days, but I'm gonna finish it as a tribute to my late dad who died last yr, and to the USAF and RAAF squadrons who defended japan during that time period.
