I'm with you on this one I'd lie to see some boats that could go into the rivers and shallow water and well maybe landing craft that could um land.


By the way, with a little cheating Mean Happyyou can put barges that will move on the rivers WinkI found that yesterday!You can even make ships sail on the ground and trucks drive on the water!

when u chrash into a bunch of trees(not a forest) mybe ur wing wil fall off and a tree would fall but just that the plane didnt explode as soon as it hits the trees

soldiers that would fight. For axample, if a load of airbornes landed on the ground they would not just throw to the ground, but stick together and fire on enemy soldiers

also prevent the 88s from shooting on parachites.. kinda unrealistic

I wish fences and objects like fences could be laid in a waypoint pattern so we didn't individually have to place every one.

Multiple object selection at once.

Be able to cut and paste a group of planes.. i.e. if I make the perfect B17 Box, I should be able to cut and paste them.

Be able to group aircraft and set a single flight path of waypoints for all to follow according to their formation, not individual WP's for each.

No can do. Planes are hardcoded and for this very reason. Not saying you are looking to make an "Uber" plane but if we could do this then eventually someone would make heat seeking missles for the I-153 and mod the engine to F-22 specs, then where would we be. Before long we would have a J8A capable of warp 10 carrying photon torpedos. Surprised

Oh man! I left these forums aobut a year and a half ago and I come back to see that this thread is still going! My old nic was dagger3 bug I fogot my pass. Nice to see that it's still up!

May I suggest, if not done already, to make Objects 146 thru 155 and the netting objects 75 & 126, transparent to any armor/artillery that is placed in/on them. They are meant to be gun emplacements and should be available as such. There are others but these would be a HUGH addition to mission/screenshot/movie makers of this wonderful sim.

There must be an object property code to do it already as object 140 thru 142 are solid concrete objects that are transparent to guns/armor. You can place any gun/armor on/in them and even if nothing is showing on the outside they will engage the enemy.

MAPS! I'm somewhat surprised at the exclusion of the Solomon Islands, New Briton, and the majority of New Guinea. So much of the 1943-1944 land-based campaigns were conducted in and from these areas - and you can only substitute just so much...

I would like to see MORE Planes. There are plenty of Models @ simviation.com and Netwings so they can't say there isn't enough material to build on.
There's at least 2 Campaigns that should be added In the spirit of the "Forgoten Battles" forum.

1. Flying Tigers Campaign which in reality was our first Pacific Campaign.

2. Aleutian Campaign this campaign has often been refered as the "Forgotten War".


I mean as part of the game not just an independent add on in which substitutions are made. I'd like to see the actual maps and actual aircraft instead of the subs. There are plenty of maps and aircraft available for this to happen.

Here's a list of requested flyable aircraft:

P-36 Hawk this plane was one of the types able to get off the ground and possibly struck the first blow at Pearl Harbor. This plane also served in it's various forms in both allied and axis
Air Forces and performed beautifully.

Martin B-10 and B-18 Bolo bombers both played active roles in the campaigns mentioned before the more modern planes came on the scene.

Condor Legion Campaign (Both Sides)and corressponding aircraft including the He 112, He 50 and other participating aircraft of the day.

I'd like to also see some whatif missions and Campaigns using:

F8F Bearcat it was available in 1943 but you know Washington.

Arado 234 w/variations

Me 264, 364

Me 410 Hornet

HO 229 w/ordinance including 2 1000kg bombs.

TA 400 with plenty of ordinance including Atom Bomb.

B-17, B-24, and B-29s for our bomber fans.

For Xtreem Fantacy (just for fun)

Gloster Meteor
Vampire I
Mig 15, 17, 21
F-86 w/variants plus ordinance.
F-100 w/variants

All these models are available at simviation, and Net Wings.

There will never be enough planes but we can sure dream....

Battle for Europe should include:

1939 Poland Campaign (both sides) with appropriate aircraft. P-11a,c, P-23 Karas, P-37 bomber. w/actual maps---no subs.

Battle for France with appropriate participants:
P-36, Blenheims etc. w/actual maps---no subs.

Battle of Britain (both sides)Include Maps and P-36, Wildcats, Brewsters, Me 110, Do 17, 215, other actual participants.

North Africa Campaign with all the maps and participating aircraft.

Just a suggestion...

theres 20 pages and i only got 2 11 so i dont know if any1 has said this but how about making a field: set beginning dmg:_% and type in 1-100 for beginning dmg instead of having to make kamakazi flights and having to tinker with that alot, and som1 else said how about ships having shore-attack waypoints? i was thinking the same thing but for arty, on wake for ex. 6 shore guns sank 2 outdated destroyers and 4 f4f's sank another.

Wow. this is a slow-moving post. I stopped playing for a few months and started again and only one post has come up.

On-subject, I finally read the posts and im preatty surprised u cant fly the mother of all aircraft. Ask anybody and when you say "bomber" they will most likely think of a B-17. Not to mention entire games devoted to the B-17.

I think we should be able to MAKE maps, having pre-set maps is good for detail and rare, but cant we have some program for painting cities or forests, just some sort of map-making program? bc 60% of all maps end up being forced to use substitutes.

And last but not least why cant we make mods? I can see why the game is encoded and its nice, but could there be some program which can make mods and make the planes work ONLY if its on a mod server? Expanding the horizens of a game never proved to be horrible, its one of my favorite things to do!

I too would like to see map making tools and object making tools. Oleg has intimated that that may come with SoW/BoB but I'm not holding my breath.
There are three good reasons we don't have them now:
1. The coding contains business secrets Oleg/1C don't want released .
2. When you allow mods, people tend to make "Super-Uber"/cheat mods that don't keep the playing field level.
3. The current tools are in Russian and by 1C's own admission not at all intuitive or user friendly. Ian Boys stated that it took him nearly six months to create the new Burma map that will be coming out with either 4.06 or 4.07.

Although I'd love to be able to make maps and objects I will be satisfied with what is currently the most realistic prop sim available.
