I've recently downloaded the Battle of France 1940 campaign add-on pack but can't really figured out how to do this. At first I thought all you had to do was open up C:\Program files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 and paste the new files in there. But nothing happened. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Well, the instructions say:

Extract zip to (by default):
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\

So, unzip the file you downloaded. You will get a folder named 'IL-2 Sturmovik 1946'. Take this folder and place it in the folder listed above (C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\). Answer YES when it asks you to replace any existing files.

This is assuming your main IL-2 folder is named 'IL-2 Sturmovik 1946'. Remember, place the campaign folder into the Ubisoft folder, not your IL-2 folder.

Also in the install instructions:

-Requires merged installation of IL2/PF patched to version 4.08m or above.

(However, the graphic for this campaign says 4.09, so I don't know what to tell you.)

There is updated version 1.1 on VP's site: http://www.vpmedia.eu/il2/missions.html

What i do is:

1. Open the file, you should see this

2.Open the missions folder.

3.You want the campaign for this but, but this works for single missions too.

4.You have here a german and brit campaign, choose ether and go back to do the other later.

5. Next, go to my computer open up whatever drive il2 is on, open up program files, open ubisoft, open il2. Select the missions folder.

6.Choose nationality, in this case GB or DE and then just drag and drop into that folder.

This is a bit lengthy but its how i do it. Same process works for skins and for single missions, with the appropriate folders of course. Other people might have a better method though.

Where did you get this, from Mission4Today or is this one of those for-pay add-ons? Is it some mission files in a folder labeled "FR" or something like that?

Putting a campaign into Il-2 is tricky at first but I'm not sure what you are trying to work with.

Make sure that you have put it in the correct folders and that the download was not corrupted. Check to see in the appropriate missions section to see if its there. If its not, try following the instructions i left again.

If its a normal campaign and its still not working after that, then im at a loss. I installed the BOF campaign in the steps i showed.

It is this campaign yes? http://mission4today.com/index...file=details&id=3322

Yeah give us a link to the campaign you got so we can tell you exactly what to do.

In what folder did you put the mission files for this campaign?

The campaigns are organized in folders for their nationality--US is USAAF, DE is Germany, GB is the RAF, etc. I'm not sure what nationality this campaign is though--if it's FR, then put it in FR.

Really you should just have to put the mission folder for this campaign into the nationality folder and it will work.

Again, give us a link to the campaign so we can give you specific instructions.

I'm sure we can get it working for you but you're not giving us much information.

1) give us a link!

2) where in your Il-2 files did you put the missions folder?

Again, they have to go in the appropriate nationality folder, my guess is you just put it in the main Il-2 instead of the proper FR or GB folder.

You put all of the files in the missions bit or you put the Bof file (which you got from the specific nationality folder) into the appropriate missions bit?

Lets try this again, re-download the file if you can. Now, open the file you downloaded until you reach the nationalities section, open the GB file which leaves you with a folder entitled 'BoF'.

Now go into the drive you have il2 saved on,:
open 'program files',
open 'ubisoft',
open il2,
open 'missions',
open 'campaign',
open 'GB'.
Drop the 'BoF' folder into there.

Load and look at the campaigns menu in the RAF section for the campaign.

It's still not working. Thanks for all your help, but for one reason or other, I don't think it's going to work.
