With the new Bessarabia map i have made a 8 mission mini campaign about a Rumanian led attack on the city of Akerman not far from Odessa.

main planes are: IAR80, Me109E, I16, I153, Mig3, Yak1B, Heinkel 111, Ju87 and Pe2
plus a few more.
all the missions are made in 4.09. on the Bessarabia map.

All the fighter planes are set to be Veteran as this greatly improves the Intelligence of the AI and makes the dogfights seam more realistic and cool. However. for the less experienced playes there are two versions of each mission, one of them marked:
"-average" which means that the fighters skill is average rather than veteran
i think the missions should be played at Veteran as this gives some better dogfights.

The briefings have not been looked closely through for grammar and spelling mistakes. Thats just too boring.
Its readable.

The zip File Includes:

Advance on Akerman 1
Advance on Akerman 2
Advance on Akerman 3
Advance on Akerman 4
Advance on Akerman 5
Advance on Akerman 6
Advance on Akerman 7
Rumanian ships
Advance on Akerman 1-average
Advance on Akerman 2-average
Advance on Akerman 3-average
Advance on Akerman 4-average
Advance on Akerman 5-average
Advance on Akerman 6-average
Advance on Akerman 7-average
Rumanian ships-average
Readme

there's also 3 skins included for the Romanian Hurricane, Me109 and Ju87.
just put them in the appropriate folder.

the mission: Rumanian ships is a mission i made planned to be in the campaign but it didnt fit.
I included it anyway

Each briefing has a Situation sektion telling about the progress of the campaign, that is what is happening on the ground and such
i suggest that you read it.
aktually i prefer that people read the briefs, even though they might fill a little.
its a part of it.

static campaign - aktually its just a series of coops.

The majority of the missions will let at least 16 players participate.

note. Its a coop campaign but of course you can play it offline, just start your own Lan game.

Remember to check the Readme aswell.

Good luck.

Sequel will follow - Road to Odessa

you can download it from Flying legends:Here

hi General, It's good to see something new for Bessarabia. Too bad I don't have the 4.09b yet but will soon. I've been reading more about that area of the war in '41 so your campaign will be interesting to look at. THANKS.

planes are from 1940 and 1941 and the intended time is summer 1941. as it was historically.
but the missions itself is not historical.

ps. working on 8th mission of the sequel

The Yak-1b is a plane that came into production at the end of 1942. It's effectively more of a 1943 aircraft and in 1941 only the normal Yak-1 would have a place (within tight limits - in Bessarabia the I-16 Type 18, I-153 M62 and the MiG-3ud were the relevant fighters).

the freedom of fiktion.
i didnt say it was 100% historical Settings. Big Grin

its not ruining the balance with the Romanians flying Me109E-4.

i didnt know that since it's in the game marked Yak1b 1941

Yak1b - Yak 1 is the same relation as Bf 109 F-4 - Bf 109 E-4. The Yak-1 is already a tricky opponent for an E-4, even with an experienced pilot.

I noticed the Yak-1B in the first post but I didn't say anything because as you say, it's not totally historical. But the other guys are right, only the earliest version of the Yak-1 was used in Bessarabia in 1941. The Yaks were few in number with the majority of fighters being the I-153, I-16 and Mig-3.

no need to worry. Yak-1b was a little Typo
it is really the Yak-1 that i have put in the missions so no problems.

was just about to change it when i realised that there were nothing to change.

Thor. those books looks really interesting. any idea where i can get them?
