I like this game, and am tired of having to fly for 30 minutes (On 8x speed) just to get to the battle.

Is there a way to change the distance in the Campaign file?

I saw a file named Dgen.txt, and inside it said

"Distance:Any"

can i somehow change that to make all flight times short? or am i stuck with 3 hour flight times?

Yes. You have to edit the conf.ini file. Instructions here:

It Doesn't say in that guide about the distance to target.

Well, it does, but maybe not clearly enough.

It's the "MissionDistance=??" line, second from top. Number indicates the preferred distance to target in kilometers. It does work, I've had mine set at 30km. However, it doesn't guarantee that every mission will have exactly the chosen distance.
