I've downloaded a ton of object lists and images but don't see any definitive list of what AA guns, for instance, are all Japanese, or all German.

Does a list like this exist?

When you place the gun on the map it will turn color to the side the used them in RL.

I suspect this has never been an issue since most of the users are such WWII trivia geeks they know a 20mm Pak 38 is used by the Germans. Wiki the weapon name will problem get you the information you want.

Yes I figured out that placing things on the map turn the color of axis or allies.

I'm not inclined to research all the objects in the game and it appears there exists no list but I do thank you for the response.

I'm trying to place all of say the Japanese AA, armor, artillery, etc...in a practice mission for recognition practice.

This may help you it may not but these downloads at M4T have lists of objects through v4.09b1.

The first two are by Winger 69 and are the best in my opinion.
They have pictures and all the objects available in v4.09b1.

Thanks, yes I do have all those downloaded and they are very good.

I did a quick search for Japanese AA and it seems they were all name 'Type' something or other so I'll go with that.

Well the general rule of thumb for artillery is
M something as in M1905 is typically US
Type something is Japan
Pak or some compound word is German
T something is Soviet
Rated in weight, like 25lbr, is British.
But there odd stuff like Boffers 20mm, which is Swedish and used by everyone.
