Howdy! Have an issue with some missions I'm building for a Malta campaign wondered if you could help...?
I'm trying to recreate the delivery of Spits to Malta - on the first runs they had Blenheims to guide them, and I'm trying to get my flight of four Spits to formate with the Blenheim; I deliberately avoided doing the old 'target-set-escort' thing cos I don't want the Spits weaving and orbiting around over the Blenheim, it'll spoil the effect I'm going for.
Now trying to be clever - and failing, naturallly! - I had noticed on my DGen campaigns that two flights of the same squadron will fly in formation when on a ground attack mission so I thought that perhaps by making the Blenheim flight 1 of the squadron and the spits flight 2 and assigning each a GA waypoint (though with no ordinance and no targets they'd ignore it) would inspire the desired behaviour; alas it did not.
Got any clues, tips, hints or silly words for me take away my lovely mission building chums?

I did see somewhere around the Mission builder forum a hint for formation level bombing that said if you set escort waypoints on a target (eg: the Blenhiems) and make the target go quite fast, the other aircaft will stay behind them, as they don't have enough speed to overtake them enough to do that whirl around thingo.
However it is a pretty long and tedious task as you have to get the target aircraft at EXACTLY the right speed. It may also not work if you are using a fast aircraft like the Spit and a slowpoke like the Blenhiem. The spitty's may take over the blenhiems anyway.
