This is something I just found out the hard way today about mission building. Maybe its just a glitch on my PC I don't know. But I spent about 45 mintues making a small mission and when I tried to save it it was eliminated.
In the "save" box I typed: P38/062309
And because of that the whole thing was lost.
On a hunch I went back to the same map and put a quick P-38 flight path and saved it with: P38062309 and it saved okay. I think it had something to do with the forward slash. Wierd.
I geuss I should nerver use a " / " when naming a mission.

The sim doesn't like anything except dashes ( - ) or underlines ( _ ) in the name.
It doesn't like spaces in the name either.

If you use Windows Explorer to go into the missions subfolder where you saved it you'll probably find the .mis and .properties files are still there. Just rename them without the forward slash then restart the game, with any luck they'll be "restored".
