This is UNbelievable,
but no surprise from this game.

Windows 7 is rolling out in masses, and this game that I thought would survive in the shadows, is now doomed.

I have spent alot of time and money on this game just getting it to work, not to mention clan wars, prizes, trophies, website etc. to support this game.

When people wanted to quit playing long ago, I said stick with it, its going to get better... Well... it didn't..

=TGY= host a server for new map makers to get their maps up and some play time. (Plus 5 other servers)
I have upgraded to Windows7. I am sad to say, I am no longer able to host or download custom maps. So this service has ended.

When the majority of =TGY= upgrades to Windows 7, We will be dropping FC2 as one of our supported games.

Thanks to all the map makers for the good times ..
and to all of the players on our servers..


Unless there is a patch in the works.. ( I am sure there is not ) Then, I am sure it is over !!

I am running win 7 and run my FC2 server from an XP Virtual Machine with only 1G of memory allocated to it and I have no issues. Might be another way to go.

Well, two OS could be solution, but jmcu is right in all points.
Its just pathetic and ubelievable at same time that all what UBI can say is "sorry, Win 7 are not supported"....
Iam in quite same position as jmcu is. Server, website, other services, time, money and persuasion, but its all for nothing if there wouldnt be at least small patch soon.

This just plain SUCKS! I guess I stopped making maps for good now...

JMCU, Thanks for hosting all the great maps while you could.
