Hello!
I have a ultimate question to ask Ubisoft directly, with other players to see it. I want to know if there will be any patch to fix Windows 7 issue, because if not I am quitting FC2 forever and I will not buy any of your product as they come! I´m (was) a huge fan of Far Cry series begining with the first one few years ago. But in jut few month here was a few things that put my blood pressure too high. First of all Microsoft literaly insulted customers with its Vista crap, and then when they made a new OS worth of using it....FC2 does not support Win7. How could this happen? dont you have a few well payed developers that are payed to produce patch, that we who pay your bills and food can play a game that we payed for?! But enough of rough leanguage. I just want to now: Are we or we are not playing Far Cry 2 anymore? No offense and goodbye! |

Yes, this question have to be answered by UBI, who is already dishonor him self to even let it ask people for that! What a great strategy for customer care ....
We, who bought this game a year ago, could be screwed up by not supporting new operating system. But, how could UBI keep selling this game without warning customers, that the new operating systemn isnt supported...?!? Even biggest noobs know well, that if you buy new pc now and you buy new operating system, it would be stupid buy Vista, when you can choose much better system, and show me someone who will buy for his new pc WinXP ? Even many of us keep use it, like me, for example. But now I have to stay on XP, because if I will use Win7 without been able upload and download maps, then czech FC2 fansite and FCCZ server are finished. And others server/website admins are in same situation. And this is what UBI want ? If yes, then Atmon, or some other staff, please come here, say it openly and we can move somewhere, where is at least some perspective. Thanks... (this really makes me mad.... |

They don't care about Far Cry 2 anymore, now they wanna milk money with Assassins Creed 2, THEN you might have the honor to get a patch, but only maybe if you beg on your knees.
I quit this game long time ago, because it's just a disgrace how much potential they blew away with game, it really hurts.. |

Hey, I think Microsoft should make it compatible. If they get enough complaints (do a survey or have them complain too) they should make it compatable. The programmers to windows usually make a backward compatibility mode for whatever you install. Whatsoever, it almost never seems to work(in my cases)! Microsoft has many developers and are almost never understaffed, so if there were a patch, it would be microsoft getting it done the quickest with more reliable stability.
Who ever reads this try it and complain to microsoft if the backwards compatability does not work, they've always got the manpower to "get er' done!"

Hey
I had kicked FC2 to the curb because of constant crashes under vista. I also read on here that FC2 did not support windows 7. On 10-22 I downloaded W7 onto a new Corsair P256 SSD, and shortly there after decided to try FC2 one LAST time. So far I have played the first half of the game, found all 114 diamonds on the first maps, and am ready to play the 2nd half. Not one dreaded BSOD. I've only had two crashes, and all it did was kick me out to my desktop. So far so good. I am with all of you though. Ubisoft's total disregard for the PC game buyer sucks. I will not buy another Ubisoft product until they rethink their support issues. I'll wait for AC2, when I can buy it in the bargain bin. They think their sh*t doesn't stink. They've lost me as a customer. |

Please realize I am only playing single player.
Cheers |

Ubisoft does not care about it, deal with the bugs or leave the game, just like i did. If i hate something, then it's terrible community support and Ubi$oft showed perfectly how to NOT support a community. Just a response on the forums would be enough, but there is nothing NADA!
