I try to log in to Tech Support to ask a question but I receive an error;

"The site encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later or contact us if the problem persists."

But you can't contact them unless you log in...

Does anyone know what is up?

I just tried and got the error again. 4:16 PM EST

Anyways,
My question is about revoking. I bought Far Cry 2 from Impulse I had it installed on one and only one PC and it ran well.
My machine crashed and would not boot. I had to do a clean install. When I went to activate after install I received errors. I kept trying (on the same machine, with the same hardware, and it kept giving me an error. Tried to uninstall, reinstall to no avail. Then it gave me an error the activation has reached it's limit... still this one machine. I contacted Impulse Support who told me to contact Ubi Support. Which led me to this log in issue.
Tired of waiting.. I bought another copy and activated it successfully. Now I have 2 keys, one flogged and the one I am using now.
Now for the question;
Is there a way to reset the activation on the old Key? I can't use the revoke tool because it was only installed on this one machine.

Hi,

First of all you shouldn't have downloaded another copy of FC2. Always go for a RETAIL version if you can, as this gives you more flexibility to install/reinstall etc. But I'm not refuting thy decision.

Anyways, I doubt that you can use the old product key. Though you may be able to activate it on another PC/Laptop ? And I presume the game is already patched/updated to 1.03 ? Because if you own the RETAIL DVD version, then the '1.03 patch' has removed the Disc check and you don't have to enter the product key. But you do need the key for online play. So I can't say the same thing about this 'Impulse' version. Try to contact Tech Support again. Cheers.

PS: Do you have this registry entry on your system, 'Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Ubisoft\Far Cry 2' ? But I doubt it, as yours is a download version. In any case if you happen to find it, then manually delete the entire 'Ubisoft' NODE from the registry. This is highly recommended if you want to do a fresh install of the game (Basically RETAIL version). So this may or may not reset the limit of the KEY. The 64 bit Win path is: Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Wow6432node.

Thanks.
I think I will try to install on another machine.
