With all the new Buildings we can use in Mission Building it is now more complicated to build missions using these features. It took me about 5 hours to get a Mountain Terrorist Base created using the Trees Mods and many of the new buildings.



Wish List:
1) Unlike the FMB in IL2, you cannot see what the scene is going to look like, until you actually run the mission which takes a few mintutes to load. Then you have to press F12 (static objects view) to cycle through your 200 objects to see if the one you just turned or move is positioned correctly. I doubt if this could be fixed/enhanced, but it's worth an ask.

2) The 'rotation center' of the different buildings when placing them on the map seems to be different for different buildings. When placing it, some buildings seem to center around a corner of the bulding, and others seem to center around the center of the object. So, when you rotate it in the map, if it is centered on a corner of the building, it is actually moving it slightly to a new location. Maybe it's just the trees mod, or it may also be the regular buildings, I'm not sure. But again, you have to go check all the time by running the game.

Would be nice if 'all' objects rotated around their center so when you are rotating, you are not 'moving' them.

3) Also, you have to create each object from scratch. Now with all the new buildings there is a lot more work to do. It would be soooo nice if we could just copy and paste existing objects. This would save a 'ton of time' in mission building. You could just add a Copy and Paste button under the other buttons that are on the top/left of the Mission Editor screen. Assuming the code is written object oriented, copying the current object and pasting it should not be terribly hard to do.

4) Add trees to the game so we don't have to mod them.
And now with the cool trees mod, you have to be very careful where you place those trees. Because if you put them around your targets, the game actually treats them as objects (Containers, WC,...) so it is easy to lock up on trees instead of your target. That's just one tip I am learning.

Nice terrorist base, yeah I have the same problem with the missions I've created. I tend to place most of the objects and then go in and have a look. After that is when I exit and make adjustments. Still, its going to be good to unleash some of these FC surprises in later missions I create.

It's so much work, that I have gotten into the habit of writing notes on a notepad of all the changes I need to make so I don't have to go run the game and bounce backout so much.

Yes the new buildings are for Flaming Cliffs.
