Correction, there have been a few games featuring the AV-8 as a flyable aircraft.

Janes ATF Gold Featured the AV-8B if you enabled "All aircraft" in certain areas. In Janes Navy 98, I think that's the name, the Harrier was also included and didnt require any enabling, it was available in the Campaigns. Granted, I would hardly call Janes ATF or Navy Fighters '98 a real hardcore sim, but it did include the AV-8 as flyable also with the ability to VTOL. *LOL* if only the flight controls weren't so simple, they would have both been better games.

I do agree, the AV-8 or any other Harrier for that matter would be an excellect addition. I'd even like to see all 3 varients of the JSF.

I completely agree for the Sea Harrier Big Grin

Fighters Anthology is great, I spent MANY a hour playing online Wink I was god at ATF Gold on Mplayer though, in 1 month of flying, I was shot down 3 times. That's probably cause I was cheap and flew the F-22 all the time *LOL* I'd always load the weapons bays with Chaff/Flare pods and no missiles. Fly low, supercruise, and you're on them with a bead before they know you're though. I also flew alot with my radar off, only turning it on to give me an idea of where they were. When I was close enough, I'd use the IR tracker to aquire and track them. At last second, when I was within g-range, I'd turn on the Radar and plaster them with rounds. *LOL*

Em.. before anyone gets the wrong idea.. I'm a good pilot, with good skills... but my kill ratio dropped DRASTICALLY when I started getting into more complex flight sims Wink

Back on topic.. you know, honestly.. not only would the Harrier family be good.. but I'd also like to see the YAK-38 as flyable Big Grin I like V-STOL.. I dont know why. LOL

This would be my number one choice for a flyable add on. I stand by with my Master Blaster in hand. We'll also need a WASP class LHD too Wink (crew 1990 to 1993)

(second- F/A 18)

You were able to fly the Sea Harrier FRS2 and the AV8B in Jane's ATF Gold and also in Jane's US Navy Fighters Anthology.

If you have ever owned a 3do game system you would know they had a game called flying nightmares wich was a flight sim based all around the harrier jump jet.. even had to land it on a carrier..Was extreemely hard to control but it was awsome!.. This would be a great addon plane..I think better than the f-18 for carrier based operations and probably a fun challenge to most players to learn to fly..Plus it would be like having a flyable hellocopter since you could hover and hang around the battle field. Cheers!
