The missiles in Lock on Modern air combat are not much of a challenge compared to Flanker 2.5. The SA-10 is way too dodgeable. It can even be dodged by a slow flying A-10 with the manuever beam, dive and turn into. This probably would not work on a real SA-10. It does not work in Flanker 2.5 or Falcon 4.0 Superpak, which is a realism and gameplay patch among other things. SA-10s are scary in Flanker 2.5. In lock on, they hardly are much of an event.

The sam sites are also much more aggressive in Flanker 2.5. They will fire more than one missile at a time and more often.

Also, Lock on should have phase and mission conditions which were present in Flanker 2.5 but removed in Lock on for some weird reason. Give me an improved flanker 2.5 in Lomac and I will want to buy the "Flaming Cliffs" add on.

Also what is needed is linked missions. The second mission should be a sequel to the first to give the impression of a continual story line and a battle taking place in the same area.

What would really make me rush to buy Flaming Cliffs is if the missiles were more visible and able to be padlocked easily. Good dynamic campaigns that make use of the third party dynamic mission generator would also be a huge plus. Falcon 4.0: Allied Force is coming out. What would make Lock on compete with this product and make them interested in also owning "Flaming Cliffs" would be to have all these features added.

Personally though, I would get it if it had Flanker 2.5 SAM aggressiveness and SAM missile moddelling. Give me an improved Flanker 2.5 and I will buy Flaming Cliffs.
