I just upgraded to a 9800gt, from a crappy ATI job, is there a link anywhere to settings for FB?

I lost perfect mode, and conf.ini keeps changing back to default settings?

Do you have Vista? It may affect how the game saves your conf.ini file.

Will this help you even though it applies to PF? Read NDS_Camp's list he did for me. Also, he had a warning that if you altered the config.ini and then went into the video selection screen WITHIN the simulation, all your settings would revert back.

What drivers are you using. I tried the newest and had the same problem. I am now using an older version of the drivers.

I'm on my older computer I use for posting, so I'll check on my gaming rig tomorrow and find out the ForceWare number for you.

Yes Kitkat I'm using the latest drivers, I'll try the older ones. I should know better than use the latest dvrs.

The latest drivers work fine for my 9800gtx+.

You do need to re-do things after changing from an ATI.

I accidentally wiped my computer just after my swap from the second defective 4870 (asus stuffed their fan controller design), so I can't tell you exactly what you need to change, except that things weren't right for me either.

People say to use driver cleaner or the like, however the sites that host that software made me skeptical.

And you need to to make absolutly sure no bits of the ATI drivers/software is left on your system.

Start here... Browse through that thread and see what you can find... It is kind of old... @ 2 years i think.. but a lot of the same stuff still applies to get you in the ball park..

Why is that? I originally had an ATI card on my rig, but then I bought a new Nvidia card years later to get more speed. I removed the ATI card and installed the new Nvidia card in it's place . I never removed the old ATI drivers.

Sorry Kitkat10. I thought you were asking for my driver version in your above question. I am still using my older 93.82 ForceWare drivers for my 7950GT with few glitches.

Then you got lucky, I've witnessed many a nightmare of days/weeks spent trying to troubleshoot a stability issue to find out it was some ati or nvidia file or registry entry left over from where they switched brands.
