I am a 'mission uploading' noob and I have a mission that I would like to share so I am trying to put it on M4T to make it downloadable to the community.
Dumb question: When I find that mission in the game in program files it is in 2 parts. Do I put those 2 parts into a new folder and then save it in my docs for uploading to M4T?
Thanks for any help.

I think you will probably get more help with uploading if you ask at the M4T site. I think they like more information than just the files. You will need to upload both files though.

You can ask here, plenty of people here (like me) have made campaigns and uploaded them to M4T.

The two files are definitely needed. One contains the mission briefing and the other contains the data for the mission--plane locations, etc., all the stuff you set up in FMB. The briefing is useful to set the scene for the mission and to tell players what their goal in the mission is and which skin to use. You can just provide the mission data file, but then people won't get the briefing.

If you are putting together a campaign then you can ask here about how to set it up, you have to be really careful about how you title it and organize up the files so that it shows up in the Pilot Career campaign list in the game and so that people know where to place the files in their Il-2 folder properly.

Thnks 5tard5word. So, do I put those 2 parts together in a file and then upload that file to M4T?
It's not a campagne, it's just one-mission.
Do you remember the campagne that guy did called: For Good Pliots.? It's a skills-test like that but it's only one-little mission.

Yup, just put them in a folder, make the folder into a .zip or .rar, then upload it to M4T. It is usually helpful to provide a readme that explains what the mission's purpose is or where to place the files, most people will know what to do but some people won't know where any of the file folders are.

Hopefully this is the last dumb question I will bother you with:
What would your brief instructions look like as far as telling the would-be mission downloader how to get that file onto his IL2 1946 missions list. ?
