Gday,
Newbie to il246, but played PF/AEP etc alot.
Loaded this up last week, and wanted to install some of my fave missions from M4T site which were for PF/AEP v4.04.
The missions are supposed to go into missions/single/GB/RAF, except there is no RAF folder, and so the missions dont show up, even tho they are in the GB folder. Crying Other nation folders have subfolders with planes. Do I have to create new sub folders in GB for these now? Or do thee old missions not translate over to il246 v 4.08
Any help apprec, as my 10 yr old son loves this game and these missions too.
Cheers

What missions are we talking about? Do you have a name or link? Normally everything designed for a version pre 4.08m should work in 4.08m. The Exception could be campaigns that need Battle over Europe Add-On. These need the Mission Generator included with BoE.

Are you sure you are not trying to install campaigns into single missions? There is a BIG difference between single missions and Campaigns.
Check the download(s) for a read me file.

What the game calls RAF goes into the GB folder AFAIK - this is a bit confusing.

Install ONE download at a time then check in-game - otherwise you will start overwriting essential parts and things will not work in all probability. The mission builder could have included the RAF folder in the download - just drag/extract that folder with everything in it into the suggested GB folder.

I hope this helps, You need to tell exactly what you downloaded first before more help can be given.

Thanks. They were all single mission styles

1) Beaufighters in action
2) Tally Ho
3) Whispering_Death
"Unzip into your Missions\Single\GB-folder and choose RAF" - except it does not exist

Had similar with some German and Japanese missions too.

Cheers

translation:
Unzip into /Missions/Single/GB/ folder.

When you want to run it IN GAME select RAF

GB folder content is called RAF in-game.

PLEASE do not collect problems until you have a shipload full. When you bump into a problem ask for help. When you collect them helping will be next to impossible because things get too cmplicated and mixed up, apart from taking up way too much time to understand what happened. Most mission builders will be happy to help if you PM them on M4T or just post in the forums there. Make sure you select the ".." entry inside the ZIP file if you use WinRAR, WinZip or another utility, then select /Missions/Single/GB/ and click Extract

I could not find ANY download on M4T called "Tally Ho"

I checked the missions I could and they work.
You run them by selecting Single Missions, selecting RAF under "Airforce" and the mission under "Mission Type"
If your "Tally Ho" download contains single mission itshould work as described above. There is no problem putting several single missions into one nationality folder. The missions should be in folders with the same name as the mission pack inside the GB folder.

Thanks!

Hmm, maybe Tally Ho was from from Netwings.
(it was Spits taking on multi Stuka's over Malta)

Will give 'em another go, and if they work great, if not, will try some other missions.

Cheers
