Hello Eow_TK,

I have CH pedals, they work well but some players find their stance to be too narrow. The distance between them is not unlike that in a C-172.

Many players prefer the Saitek pedals because you can adjust their spread. Ideally, you should try them both for comfort before buying, do you have any friends who have them?

Neither... Simped, for sure! Just Google it. I was sure that after Deiters death (the company's owner, designer and sole employee)someone would continue and possibly ramp up production of his fine pedals and I was right.

Simped pedals certainly are da bomb, but can you get them for the 100 or so bucks the op would like to spend?

Whoops, my bad, didn't notice the spending limit. CH is bullet proof BUT way too narrow for me. Some folks have developed "extenders" so you can put your feet at a comfortable width but I don't have any links, sorry.

Ok, i dont really like saitek's build quality with much of their equipment, and the pedals are probably the most abused thing that you could have here. so ill go CH i think.

thanks guys bow

I own both.. I got my CH pedals around 03 .. I got my Saiteks around 05.. I prefer the Saiteks.. They have a wider stance and a smoother action to them IMO...

One of our squad m8s has a constant problem with with his saitek pedals where they physically lock up. To fix it he has to open the case and free a stuck guide wheel. It happens randomly and not very frequently (lately). He's found posts of others having this issue and has tried a few fixes that, as of yet, have not been completely effective.

I also own saitek pedal and they've been nothin' but joyous to use for the 14 months I've had them. Mine are sitting on top of dense plush carpeting when in use (I've covered the base bottom with velcro tape) so they are being flexed all the time, but according to my squad m8 I should be singin' the blues.

Thats what i heard about them too. but i would rather have a physical problem than the CH's softwear/pot drifting problem. At least physical ones can be fixed fairly easy. (my dad and i fix EVERYTHING that breaks around here to save money. we are the hackers hackers.) Wink2 Winky

I think that situation in the linked thread is the exception rather than the rule. I've used the same set of CH Pro pedals for about seven years now, never had a problem.

The Saitek 'lockup' problem was with the early production pedals. Later production (and all current production) was modified to solve this problem. A kit can be obtained (free) from Saitek to fix the early pedals.

If you want something with a wider stance that MAY be smoother, get the Saiteks.

If you want something that should last forever get the CH pedals.
I have had my CH pedals for many years, and they feel the same now as the day I bought them.

im a little nervous on what to get. the ch's sometimes will drift left for an unknown reason. the saiteks will sometimes get physically stuck.

It seems like the CH pedals are more reliable so im going to get those.

its official as they're going to be ordered tonight. thanks for all the opinions. it really helps
