I have both FB+AEP+PF V404m and 1946 installed on my computer. I follow the suggested instal path to the letter, Ubi soft/Il-2Sturmovik forgotten battles/missions/campaign/RA. I have copied the contents of the download into FB and 46,but when I look in pilot careers [ RAAF ] Nothing???

The download is called " Caldwell Campaign " I'm obviously doing something wrong, and as i said, I'm always having this problem,so can someone help.....Cheers. JM

So you put it in one of the country folders? Did you check to make sure the files extracted to the folder or if it made a subfolder?

Are you running Vista? Vista may have done it's virtualization trick and have created a virtual folder for the game under /Documents and settings/ which it uses instead of the one under /Program Files/ without telling you ofcause.

Do a search for conf.ini or one of the other game files and see if it turns up in multiple places to confirm this.

I have checked the RA folder, and the download has been installed into that folder [ Caldwall/Skins/read me.

According to the instructions, biggest part of the campaign files should go into RA\Caldwell_Campaign.
Some of the contents, the subfolder RA\Caldwell_Campaign\Skins should be moved into Paintschemes\Skins folder.

This part from the Readme of the installation is very important:
4. Installation: Until I can purchase a Winzip self extractor program, this campaign must be installed manually.

Copy the contents of the "Caldwell" folder into:
Ubi Soft/Il-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles/Missions/Campaign/RA

Open the "Skins" folder and copy the contents of each individual aircraft type into it's corresponding game folder under:
Ubi Soft/Il-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles/PaintSchemes/Skins/[Aircraft Type]

Me thinks somewhere during the unzip something went wrong...
But, it should be fixable...

Good Luck!

I bet it's because there's a problem with the name of the campaign folder, it has to be EXACTLY what is in the mission list file for the campaign (I can't remember the name of the file, it's been a while since I set up a campaign). And there can't be any subfolders. If you're still struggling I'll take a look tonight and try to list exactly where it should be and how it should look in the RA folder.

Also make sure that when you want to play the campaign you are looking for the campaign under RAAF, not RAF (which uses the GB folder).

And the Vista virtualization thing I don't think affects mission files, those are still located in C:\program files\Il-2\missions.
