G'day all,
A mate of mine has tried installing his game and found that when he tried to join a server he would crash as it started up. When he looked though his game folder he found that his config had been totally wiped.
Any one experienced this before. THanks for any help.

I haven't had it happen to me, but I've heard of it, it does happen.
Just copie someone else there Conf.ini file and run IL2-Setup to set everything correctly for the system so it can run the game.
After you confirmed that the game than runs fine (check atleast 2 times) than you can edit the Conf.ini file manualy for the best graphics.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition, Foxconn nForce 590 SLI, 4x OCZ 2048MB EPP DDR2-800, 2x Club3D GeForce 8800GT 512MB, Be-Quiet 700 Watt Straight Power, Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
And once that is done, keep a copy somewhere safe.
+1 on the backup copy. Running il2setup/il2set will produce a new conf.ini but it will mean selecting your hardware options and devices again. A backup copy is a LOT easier.
Thx guys will pass this on. He did make some config changes and I reckon that is where he may have stuffed up.
