Hi All,
Excited by the new patch I decided on a scorched earth policy. I deleted my IL2 folder, cleaned the registry, de-fragged and reinstalled from scratch - IL2 1946, then 4.08m, then 4.09m, then 4.09m skins. The game won't start. CD in the tray - silly securom large cd cursor comes up then nothing - consult task manager - nothing running. CD out of tray - message comes up please insert CD. Not being entirely silly I do have a full back up of my old IL2 folder on two other drives - both run fine. What am I doing wrong? RedToo. Problem sorted - needed the old 4.08 sound files (mg_snd.dll and mg_snd_sse.dll). I really need to upgrade my computer but have sworn not to 'till BoB SoW comes out

I'm also having this problem. Could you tell me into which folder the mg_snd.dll and mg_snd_sse.dll files should be put?
