The "no cockpit" ctl-F1 requires 5 keystrokes to get back to the cockpit view. This is ackward, is there any way to get the cockpit view back with one keystroke?
When Autopilot is on going to an external view then back to cockpit view turns autopilot off. I don't know why this is, but it's rather annoying. Is there any way to get around this? Thanx. |

No other way to go back into the cockpit as far as I know... Switch 'Cockpit always on' to ON in the difficulty options... problem solved
As for Autpilot switching (works not only for internal/external views, but also for Gunner stations in bombers): Assign a key to 'toggle level autopilot' (in controls), use the key in flight, the message 'Autopilot automation off' will appear and it's fixed. With 'Autopilot automation' switched 'on' the autopilot will switch to ON when you leave a station, and switch it OFF for te station you are going to. It will also switch autopilot OFF when you return to the cockpit from external view. If 'Autopilot automation' is off, it just does nothing. Well, apart from all other stations having autopilot ON at the start, and you needing to switch it off yourself (and back on) hopping in and out of stations... Have Fun! Thanx, FT, for the advice. I could probably do without the "no cockpit" view anyway, it's not realistic. I'll try the 'toggle level autopilot' feature.
