Sounds like you got Mods installed, if so you might do better asking at the website where you got the Mods from.

I've noticed googling round the net people who play other games with Vista are having similar experiences.

To be more precise the image is just a black rectangle, no actual image.

In games no solution, but in Media Center some are getting black screens & one solution is to tinker with regedit.exe, but it didn't work for me with Il-2 and Vista 64.

Could it be a multi-monitor issue? Even if no monitor is hooked up and displaying anything is it possible the pc thinks there is a second monitor, which is obviously blank, and that is getting print-screened? Try setting nvidia control panel to single display mode, I dunno, I'm sure if it were so simple the answer would be on the net, but you never know.

Have you tried setting the 'screen shot' key in your conf.ini and using IL2s screen capture feature? I've found that to be more reliable in the past, even on a plain installation.

Tried with ALT+PrtScr ??
