Simple question: Let's say I join an online coop. Is there a way to find out the IP of the server/host?

I think he means that if he does not give out his server IP, can someone figure it out if they join through something like, the "All Seeing Eye" or whatever it is called.

For instance, when I HOST an online coop mission, I can bring up the console and see the IP of every player in the coop. However, when I JOIN a coop mission, I can't do this. No IP's are displayed.

Obviously, I could just ask the host. But, I was just wondering if there was any other way I could find out the server's IP. I mean, maybe there is a certain console command or a log I can view after the mission? Or maybe some kind of simple utility that would display the server's IP?

There may even be something in Windows that stores the IP's my computer has connected to. In any case, I was just curious about this. Any ideas?

You used to be able to pick it up out of the Hyperlobby config file but Jiri changed that after someone made a fuss about "gathering private information without consent".

If you have a software firewall running with connection logging turned on, the information will be in the firewall log.

I only have the WinXP Firewall. Do you think the IP would be logged somewhere?

According to this webpage you can set the Windows Firewall to log the actions.

When you try it, note the time of the moment you connect, and disconnect.
Will make it easier to look for the correct line in the log file...

I tried it, it works.
You will have to do some puzzlin' as there will probably be more than one IP adress in it.
Like yours, your router's, the one from Hyperlobby, and basically from any other connection your pc makes.

Good Luck!

You can see IP you joined to from console when youre client, just scroll it "bit" up
