I cannot install Hyperlobby in Vista. I get halfway through the install process where it wants to add shortcuts and I get the error messege about the file name not found.
Now I did a search through many forums including this one and I tried running it as administrator as well as in XP mode, but no matter what I do I can't get it to install. Has anyone found a fix to this or am I stuck using Xfire to find servers? |

Run as Admin, think you still get a bunch of errors but it should install and run like normal.
You need to edit a skin file though (cant look it up because im on an other computer now) and change the ... in there to just . so the skin comes up normal instead of gray (if im not mistaken) AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition, Foxconn nForce 590 SLI, 4x OCZ 2048MB EPP DDR2-800, 2x Club3D GeForce 8800GT 512MB, Be-Quiet 700 Watt Straight Power, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit |

Cant even get that far fellas. I have UAC off and trying to open the install exe as admin, but I get 3 or 4 screens into the install where it wants to add icons and I get the error messege that says.
"The File Name: Is invalid" I am logged into my machine as administrator and I even tried running the install program in WinXP compatibility mode and still hangs at same spot. |

I got errors wen trying to install also but it did install everything if i clicked them away. Started fine from the Start Menu programs list. Both with Windows 7 64 bit and Windows Vista 64 bit Are you sure its not your downloaded file that is corupted? try downloading it from a difrent source AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition, Foxconn nForce 590 SLI, 4x OCZ 2048MB EPP DDR2-800, 2x Club3D GeForce 8800GT 512MB, Be-Quiet 700 Watt Straight Power, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit |

Make sure your not installing into the programs folder.
On your C: drive make a new folder called for example "whatever" and install Hyperlobby into it rather than the default programs folder. |

This topic was made a while ago...but anyway I recently installed Hyperlobby and you have to set it to Forgotten Battles, not Il-2. That might be it.
I was trying to get it to find the Il-2 .exe instead of Forgotten Battles and it was annoying me to no end because it wouldn't work, then I read Bearcat's guide which says to select FB instead of Il-2 when installing Hyperlobby... ----------------- Farewell to freedom in the Adriatic and to the days of wild abandon.
