Cant you just configure that in the Controle setup in the game?

Other things to do with NewView (3.7m):
WEP ON/OFF in throttle AXIS
F4F/i16 landing gear with one keypress

Just for vision, it can use this old version and instructions by:

You should be able to as far as i know.
Under controles with Pan View and Snap View

IL-2 default PAN VIEW only allow 0 ~170/210 degrees PAN, without intermediate stops.

NewView alow progressive PAN with progressive speed, with multiples stops, much better.

Not True...

Use the F9 key and you can.

Well, I use NewView since 2003 and IMO, is far superior than crude IL-2 default view system of PAN and SNAP view with F-9.

So, if dont have TrackIR, use NewView. Happy

No you can't (unless there's a mod), the game "Pan" view gives stepped panning at fixed intervals. Newview gives smooth panning the same as you get with a mouse, but using a hat. You can point your view in any direction without being restricted to fixed steps.

Unmodded version, and it does work.

F9 toggles Snap or Pan view.
With Snapview it "gives stepped panning at fixed intervals" but with Panview you can put the view on any gauge etc. with the hatswitch.

Advantage you get with a Mouse is that you can controle the speed wich you cant with a hatswitch because thats only a I/O signal

The Snap/Pan toggle provided by F9 toggles between return to centre when the button is released (snap) and staying where you put it (pan). Either way, the view can only be centred at pre-determined intervals. I believe you can set the interval for Pan view in conf.ini, but the interval is still fixed at the currently set value.

With mouse view, Newview modified hat switch, one or two other 3rd party utilities and some joystick driver software, you can point the view anywhere without limitation other than the extremes of movement.

FB View Plus is the best option. Used it many years before I got TIR with great success. Never cared for newview and thought fb view was much better.

But I can not seem to find it up for download anywhere though. I used to give people the airwarfare link for years but it seems to have finally been shutdown.

If anyone has the file could they please upload it somewhere? I dont think I have it anymore and I like to offer it to new pilots looking for a better and more effective way for panning around.

S!

I dont notice the intervals in Panview mode here, its acurate enough to move from one gauge to the next etc.
Cant really compair it with the software you use but it works for me.
If i want more acurate/slower movment i use the mouse, cant see how the hatswitch would do that even with software because its just a On/Off signal switch.
