The mouse "Mini Stick" on your X-52 is drifting. Mine does it too sometimes but it's intermittent, it wont happen all the time. It may also vary between older and newer versions of the driver for the X-52 as they may set different dead zones on the mini stick.

no, not yet just starting to get into flight sims. Was really looking forward to this one, seem more in detail than cfs3. Might just be going to do the multi boot route. Just alot of extra work for a $20 game. Have had few problems with vista. Every one else seems to be runing it fine though. I dont know, Smile I'll figure it out some how........ Just better be worth it. By chance do you know when birds of prey is coming out? Trailer looks cool, maybe just I'll just wait for that.

I had this problem, though I can't remember what I did to correct it. Don't give up! I'll have a play and see if i can cause the problem again, It's just that this happened years ago. with me the view panned left and I was left with a view of the seat. I think pushing the centre view button moved me to forward view but then panned back. Does this sound like your problem?

Do you have a key mapped to the Pan view/Snap view
in the controls section of IL2? I use snap view but I think pan view can have this problem.

Thanks space_bandit, that sounds exactly what is happening. No matter what i do change controllers, remap the keys , it doesn't matter still pan back to the lower right.

Am unable to reproduce the effect, but fairly sure snap view cured it. as stated above, the problem is likely to be the hat switch having an intermittent contact. It never showed up in the joystick calibration, so maybe its down to polling rates from the joystick to flight sim picking up on brief connections. My joystick is a saitek cyborg 3d and has probably worn enough to not cause problems any more.

Have you set up your stick in Windows?

You might wanna try re-calibrating.

Good you got it solved! (sortof) Vista and it's excessive user access limitations is not really suited for games imho. Just curious: did you install the Saitek drivers/SST software under /Program Files/ in Vista? - that could be the cause of your problems. Vista imposes severe limitations on anything installed under /Program Files/ I would also still post at the Saitek forums. They might have a solution or your problem may help find a solution for you and others. They have a very good track record offering support through the official Saitek forums.

Hello guys,

im now really....... angry about that.

I have the same stupid problem with Sturmovik 1946 and Win Vista x64 and my Cyborg Evo Wireless.

Things i already tried:

- I took out every (!) USB-Device from my computer.
- I deleted the whole ingame controls (e.g. the button for engine-on, if u know what i mean).
- I reinstalled the joystick driver.
- I installed IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 on my notebook and copied it over LAN to my computer.
- I deactivated "Magic Mouse" at the hardware manager of Windows.

Now as an additional info: IL-2 Sturmovik (the original one) runs perfectly! But none of the listed actions helped me to run IL-2 Sturmovik 1946!

Can anybody now help me? I want to play iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! It cant be, that this damn view always get stuck in the lower right!

PLEASE Frown

Best regards
Morton (sorry for my english, im from germany)

Maybe this works for you guys also, posted it in an other thread in responce to a isue with the Throttle on a Saitek.

Maybe it works if you do this with the Ministick also for the X52.

Use the Axis All the way or it wont work properly.

If you forget to do this you can also do this on the ground, If you had a Airstart you can do it in the air if you do it fast, if your in a bomber in the air you can use Level Stabilizer to hold it level wen you do this quick.

Should al be perfectly fine after that, somehow the game just doesnt see the axes correctly wen it starts, everything else works fine.

Me thinks this is not due to the game, but due to self-calibrating controllers.

(Checking the controllers is always a smart thing to do, before one starts the game.)
