HAMACHI...
It's a great, Free LAN program. However, it interferes with Hyperlobby even if it isn't activated. If you've got Hamachi, you'll need to uninstall it to fly online |

Need a larger disk?
Want to repartition without re-installing? Don't overlook the free Disk wizard software from Seagate/Maxtor. It use Acronis **This May Require Seagate or Maxtor Disks** It will clone your existing hard drive to your new one, growing/shrinking the partition to the size you set, so you can implement a new partitioning strategy. It will also back up your existing disks/partitions. To either a hard drive (USB/Firewire/Internal) or removable media such as DVDs. The DVD/CD backups can also be made bootable so an automated system restore disc can be produced. You can also, if you so desire, back up your system then restore it with a new partitioning scheme (disk space allowing). The download is 102Mb, works superbly and AFAIK doesn't require a Maxtor/Seagate disk drive - but all my drives are Seagate/Maxtors.... Confirmed. Updated my vid driver and the black water appeared. Somehow, don't know how, those lines in my conf.ini were reset to zero. Did a forum search and found this thread. Changed the lines all back to 1 and good to go. Thank you claypidgon for posting that fix. I would have wrestled with it for a long time without ya. WV. |

MULTI-CORE CPUs and DUAL SLi GRAPHICS CARDS
Not so much a Fix as a Tip, or info anyway. I had been scratching my head over why 2 Graphics cards in SLi mode did not seem to deliver much of a Frame rate boost over a single GPU. After some tests and consulting the community I managed to straighten my head out. Rater than repeat it all here, go this thread:- http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=49310655&m=5981063216 Hope it helps and if you want to add feedback please add it to the original thread so that your comments don't become 'orphaned' in here. How to convert gameport CH Pro rudder pedals to USB.
Ask around your friends or look on ebay for a logitek attack 2 joystick. Open it up and you will discover inside a nice small circuit board attached to the USB cable. Note which pots connect to which wires - cut wires. Now open Pedals and you will likewise find a small circuit board attached to the gamport. Note which wires connect to which pots cut wires. Now solder the wires together from the pot on the pedals rudder axis pot to the wires normaly connected to the throttle. Note on soldering. When messing around with sticks and stuff I avoid soldering wires direct to circuit boards. I will leave a length of wire that was already connected to the board. I strip back a bit of insulation then twist the wires together. I can then plug in to computer and check I wired it up the right way round before starting to solder. When I am happy with connection I will then solder the joined wires to get a good permanent contact and pinch a bit of insulation tape over the join to stop it shorting out on anything. This may not be pretty but it is practical. Solder the pedal brake wires to the x & y axes wires. Attach logitek circuit board into pedals chassis with one screw - merely to stop it floating around. Reassemble pedals. You now have a set of USB pedals. Of course when you plug them in to the computer it thinks it's an attack II but that's irrelevant. I converted a set of CH gamport 3 years ago for a m8 - he uses them every night and they still work great. Of course you could do something similar with most joysticks - I can just guarantee you that the Attack II works and the board is about the right size. Broken Attack II joysticks are also very common as they had nasty pots that give up after 6 months. In this conversion you are keeping the high quality CH pots so the end result is reliable. |

If you have Crossfire and are using Track IR you may get Crossfire disabled when you boot. This condition happens when you tick heads and enable TrackIR at startup.
Solution is to untick heads and reboot. You will have to re-enable Crossfire in Cat Control first. |
