Just got a new LCD. When I play 1946 I change the resolution to 1078x768 and the planes are longer but the view out of the cockpit is shorter. Using Catalyst display center. What setting will make the game appear normal?

Sounds like you need to set your resolution to the same aspect ratio of your LCD.
