Well I went over to the nearby mall today to pick up a copy of Birds of Prey and an AV8R-02 for the 360 and found out that it doesn't come out in Canada until the 15th. Ouch. Well I bought the stick anyway because my current stick is a 6 year old Wingman Extreme Logitech 3d, great for me but pretty much everything about is broken. So I tried it out on 360, and it worked fine, then figured I'd try Il-2 out on here. When I try to calibrate everything is messed up, rudder and throttle are both on the Z-Axis, the D-pad down below the stick is the Hat Switch, and the actual Hat Switch is both X Rotation and Y Rotation. If I put it on Mode 2, it does seem better, it does seem better. Rudder has it's own axis, Throttle has it's own axis, but now it says my trigger is the Z-axis...? I'm quite lost, any help would be phenominally appreciated, thanks!

Did you download and install the driver software for this stick? If not, I recommend you do so as I suspect that the XBox USB controller standard is a little different to the PC USB HID standard.
The proper driver software for the XBox/PC version of the Aviator should convert the input so the PC recognises it correctly.

Let us know how you get on.

I have the same problem with my AV8R-02 joystick on all my computers.

First, the joystick did not work at all. After installing the Microsoft Xbox 360 driver it works, but not correctly:
In mode 2 (pc mode), the trigger and the blue x-button work both as the Z-axis.
In mode 1 (xbox mode), the rudder and the throttle are both on the Z-Axis.

I have downloaded the Saitek driver for AV8R but it cannot be installed because it does not recognize this joystick.

Did you find a solution for this problem?
Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks for responses.

Regards,
Tim
