What are the differences?
I was messing with the settings and direct x looked better to me, but im sure theres more to it than that.. could anyone explain? |

The game is meant to use openGL, directX is just a wrapper workaround. You need to use opengl in order to have the option for perfect landscape setting.

Ok, but i cant run at anything near perfect anyway. Direct x just looks better, with no real hit in performance.

Well in that case, of course go with what looks better, just keep openGL in mind when you upgrade in the future.

What are your System specs? and post your Conf.ini file, maybe we can help you than.

DirectX doesn't look as good to me, and also something weird and annoying is that info tags on planes will get blocked by ground terrain if a plane is near the ground--this doesn't happen in OpenGL for some reason.

Specs? Acer 5000 lappy, 1.5 gig of ram, 1.8ghz, generic onboard graphics card. If someone wold remind me how to post the conf.ini then ill add that to it.

You got the Intel Intergrated Graphics on there right?
Think DirecX is the best option for you in that case, dont think its gonna handle OpenGL to well with this game.
