I have had IL-2 off my computer for more than a year. Recently purchased IL-2 1946 version. Tried logon to server via old ubi server software that came with my Forgotten Battles version.
Keeps on telling me that CLIENT IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH SERVER. I have reset password, created new login credential etc. Is there a newer version of the server software available. Help!

The Ubi servers are no longer in use, most people use HyperLobby instead. There is information on this, and much else besides, in Bearcat's Nugget's Guide.

In case you haven't cottoned on, things are in a bit of a state of flux at the moment, as the final 4.09m patch is just out, and a lot of servers will be changing to use that. For the moment, though, if you just patch to 4.08 (see Nugget's Guide) you will be able to find plenty of servers on HyperLobby. It is possible to run two different installs on HL, so you could install another one patched to 4.09m, but I'd wait for a bit until things settle down unless you really want to fly a Fokker DXXI or whatever (nice plane though).
