Hello all,

I've played IL2 frequently in the past, but I never brought my joystick up to college with me. I finally have it now, and just bought the newest expansions. With that, I'm entering the online arena. However, I noticed that my skills in relation to everyone else are severely lacking. I'm hoping to find a novice-friendly squadron that can show me the ropes and help me develop my skills.

I fly single-engine fighters, and have been experimenting between a few models: FW-190, Spitfire IX, BF-109, as well as the P-38.

Hopefully there's a squadron out there that is willing to help me out.

Yeah, that was basically awesome. EAA rocks.

Beowulf-
Stop by and visit us at MCVG-2.
We handle both Bomber and Fighter pilots, and can get you trained up and running quickly. We fly the Corsair, The Hellcat, and the Avenger as our regular mounts, but have been known to dabble into other craft as well.

Stop by and see what we are about.

Hi,
We are II./JG53 and are a CO-OP group with a worldwide membership split into three sections based upon geographical location. Our largest section by far is our UK / EU section with around 30+ members but our US/CAN section is growing and becomming quite active.
As an established CO-OP group with over 80 members with around 30-40 active, we are looking for BF109 pilots from all over the world to fly Co-op missions with us. We have three sections, one absed in the UK/EU, one in the USA/CAN and another based in AUS/NZ, all are operational and have plenty of active and dedicated pilots all waiting to welcome you into the group!
We fly using 1946 patched to the latest full version and have recently started to use our own JG53 mod pack that was compiled to ensure enhanced realism and additional maps/flyables whilst remainging balanced and fair for all members. We have just finished operating over North Afrika in Early 1943 and have withdrawn to Sicily, we are currently flying the BF109G2. We allow our pilots to fly in other IL2 squadrons providing mission times don't clash - we do this as we know some people like to have a co-op squad and an online "wars" squad as well as those who enjoy being in an "axis" squad and a different "allies" squad. So if you're looking for a CO-OP squad to fly with, id ask you to consider joining us here at II./JG53.
You've probably seen a fair few of us messing about on Hyperlobbby the past few days, if you've enjoyed flying with us, or just watching to random banter then feel free to drop by our forums and say hi, no obligation to join!
You can find our website here; http://www.IIJG53.com
With a link to the forums and "sign up" in the navigation bar as well as our Roster, Awards and News pages!

Hope to see you in the air with us soon!
V

Salute Beowulf

RAF74 is recruiting.

We are a longtime Squadron, more than 10 years online, we focus on teamwork and look for mature pilots who choose Squadron goals over personal victories.

We are a democratic Squadron, our Staff is elected from the general membership.

We are continually involved in online wars, will be starting new ones in the New Year.

We offer online training to allow you to become effective even on the shark infested servers which you see on Hyperlobby.

Check us out at our homepage:

One of the best squadrons out there on the LW side is the Second Gruppe of JG1 (II./JG1). Sometimes when you see them on HyperLobby, they are like 20-30 members. I used to know an active combat pilot who used to run the training for them (don't know if he is still there). You should check them out at www.jg1.org and see if they are "hiring"

Best of luck!

S! Beowulf,

II.Gruppe Jagdgeschwader 1 "Oesau" (II./JG1) is currently recruiting and might be the squadron for you. We're looking for pilots of all skill levels who share our enthusiasm for teamwork and cooperation.

JG1 is a seriously minded North American based squadron with a long and distinguished history (16+ years). We were formed in March of 1992, flying Red Baron Online, and hold the distinction of being the second oldest cyber-squadron currently on the internet. As a result, JG1 pilots pride themselves on a solid foundation of accomplishment and tradition. And you can see this in our thorough and fun training program, as well as how we conduct ourselves in online wars.

Currently, II./JG1 is comprised of one GruppenStab (Command Flight), one JaboStaffel (Fighter-Bomber Squadron) and two Jagdstaffeln (Fighter Squadrons). As a result, we are looking for simmers that are interested in either air-to-air combat or mud-moving.

II./JG1 is also the home of II./JG1_Lowengrin, the designer and creative force behind the Dynamic Campaign Generator: http://www.lowengrin.com

If you are interested in applying, please take the time to visit our main website to see what our unit has to offer: http://www.jg1.org

The direct link to our enlistment information can be found here: http://www.jg1.org/recruiting.php

Hope to hear from you.

~Salut!~
