The 96th Consolidated Air Force is always looking for pilots of ALL ability levels.
We are a medium sized Allied squadron, based in North America but we have active members from all over the world.
These 30-40 active duty members participate in everything from the usual online dogfights/coops, online campaigns to aerobatics, carrier ops, ladder leagues and air racing.
Regular training sessions (at all ability levels) stress team tactics and wingmanship and teach the fundamentals as well as various "specialties".
We place no restriction on view/realism settings,nor will you be obligated to fly a single aircraft type.
Virtual airwing is organized on a military model but not carried to an extreme- we place the emphasis on fun and camraderie.Our members maintain a private Teamspeak server and very extensive professionally maintained website, with an unbelieveable amount of useful information and downloads for members.

My History with the 96th - I started off in flight sims in CFS2 days, about 2 years ago in lol "The Zone" (THE place for CFS2 action at that time) I joined a little hosted room called CAF96th Recruiting - "why not" I thought.
Well, there I was introduced to an amazing group of guys and gals of all ages, nationalitys and personalitys. Have never looked back since that day. Had never even considered joining a squad and this is the only squad I have ever been with or ever will be with. We have all transitioned over to the IL2 series of games and are settling nicely.
Great fun, great friends, dedicated trainers, mission builders, skinners, signature artists, jokers.
