Hi there all, I am a new IL 2 player, I have IL 2 1946 v4.08.... I play for atleast a few hours everyday/night... playing offline I am decent against AI opponents... but as soon as I get online I am dead..

I have a mic and teamspeak/ventrlo
Looking for a squad to have fun with online, and maybe even take the time to train me up..

Thanks

WidowMaker,

The Fightin' Irish Squadron is a good place to start looking. We are a busy and fun squad who strive for realism. We can train you and set you up with coms and any tech advice you may need.

We fly co-ops on Friday and Sunday. Look for us in HyperLobby with the prefix :FI: or =FI=.

Visit our forums and meet a great mess o'mates.

~S~ WidowMaker,

I am not sure where you are located or what your favorite planes might be, but if you are still searching for a Squadron then come check us out www.79vraf.com

We have Pilots both in Europe and North America (Dallas TX here) and we do offer training.

Best of luck in your search.

Hello,

Please read my posting in this forum by tt1950. It will say some of what we are about. We have two dedicated servers, and are just about to start with a new mission format in a week. The thing is fun. We have all said we will quit when it's no longer fun. We are all great friends. We race, fly coops, get crazy, DF....Hope to hear from you.

We're all hopeless, useless drunks.

And fly that way by the looks of things.

But don't judge us harshly. We have our wives for that.

Hi Widowmaker;

Though I'm a firm believer in being a member of a squadron as without question enhances the simulation 100 fold, I'd suggest you take the time and consider each squadron carefully. Visit their sites, fly with each that inspires you online a bit and get to know them and their demeanor.

It's important they fit your needs and you theirs. Folks are often too anxious to join a squadron and in kind squadrons too anxious to fill their rosters.............After the fact a poor time to decide if you're a good match for one another.

A good place to start would be This Thread . There you will find squadrons active enough to check here though there are many others yet unfortunately the "squadron page" is a maze of dead links or no longer active units...

Good luck in your search Wink2
