I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but after you find a squad how do you join it?

For every dozen squadrons there are probably a dozen different qualifications. Some, all you need to do is sign up. Others, you need to jump through all kinds of hoops and endure a probationary period.

Visit each squadron's forums and try to get to know the members. See if what you like is what they like.

There's no hurry. Take your time and

best of luck finding just the right spot.

Agree 100% with Falcon_41.
Would like to add that you also can try and fly with the Squadrons via H/L as a visitor first. See if they are something for you, and if you are something for them. Important is that you find a Squadron in your time zone, not all Groups/Squads cover the whole world.

Though I'm a firm believer in being a member of a squadron as without question enhances the simulation 100 fold, I'd suggest you take the time and consider each squadron carefully. Visit their sites, fly with each that inspires you online a bit and get to know them and their demeanor.

It's important they fit your needs and you theirs. Folks are often too anxious to join a squadron and in kind squadrons too anxious to fill their rosters.............After the fact a poor time to decide if you're a good match for one another.

A good place to start would be This Thread . There you will find squadrons active enough to check here though there are many others yet unfortunately the "squadron page" is a maze of dead links or no longer active units...
