On the advice of a friend at JO, I came over this way to check out some squadrons. Been flying IL2 for about a year now, and while many might not know what I am talking about - I have completed most of the curriculum at Joint-Ops, and am now looking for some additional flying fun. Those that don't what Joint-Ops is...I urge you to check it out. http://www.joint-ops.com/ - NOT a squadron...but a unique flying school.

Some quick info that may matter:

- Age: Am an adult with children

- Flight Times: Usually Sun-Thu from 9pm-? CST (USA). Occasionally Fri-Sat...kid activities and wife permitting.

- Skill: Average - can takeoff and land most anything, and sometimes shoot stuff down. Those that I shoot down think I am an Above Average pilot...those that shoot me down probably think I am Average Smile

- Instruction: Don't mind it at all. If it helps the Squadron and betters my skills, awesome.

Essentially I am looking for a good-sized, established squad that I can participate in be it Coop, Dogfights, etc, and since I have not participated in a Squadron since the mid-90's...I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi,

We are II./JG53 and are a CO-OP group with a worldwide membership split into three sections based upon geographical location. Our largest section by far is our UK / EU section with around 40+ members but our US/CAN section is growing and becomming quite active. Our Aus/NZ section has 8 active pilots and another 2 new recruits who fly two official mission nights per week as well as most other nights for some training flights.

As an established CO-OP group with over 80 members with around 40 active, we are looking for BF109 pilots from all over the world to fly Co-op missions with us. We have three sections, one based in the UK/EU, one in the USA/CAN and another based in AUS/NZ, all are operational and have plenty of active and dedicated pilots all waiting to welcome you into the group!

We have no age limits however all we ask is that you are a mature person who will fit in with a group that is made up of people of many different ages ranging at present from 14 - 60+, I have to admit though it is rare for someone who is under 15 to be admitted to the squadron as they rarely show the maturity needed but we always give people a chance.

We fly using 1946 patched to the latest full version and have recently started to use our own JG53 mod pack that was compiled to ensure enhanced realism and additional maps/flyables whilst remainging balanced and fair for all members. We are about to begin flying over the Leningrad area after being beaten back out of Smolensk, we are currently flying the BF109G4.

We allow our pilots to fly in other IL2 squadrons providing mission times don't clash - we do this as we know some people like to have a co-op squad and an online "wars" squad as well as those who enjoy being in an "axis" squad and a different "allies" squad. So if you're looking for a CO-OP squad to fly with, id ask you to consider joining us here at II./JG53.

You've probably seen a fair few of us messing about on Hyperlobbby the past few days, if you've enjoyed flying with us, or just watching to random banter then feel free to drop by our forums and say hi, no obligation to join!

You may also have seen several of our members at Joint Ops since as a group we encourage all of our members to expand their abilities, all of our training officers and several other members hae gone through various amounts of JO training so you will always be in expreienced hands whilst learning what the 109 is all about.

You can find our website here; http://www.IIJG53.com
With a link to the forums and "sign up" in the navigation bar as well as our Roster, Awards and News pages!

Hope to see you in the air with us soon!

Salute Medar

RAF74 is a longtime online Squadron, we've been around for more than 11 years. The majority of our pilots are adults with kids and obligations.

We emphasis teamwork and fly with voice comms, and focus on online wars against other honourable Squadrons in online wars.

We fly online wars on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, so your schedule would fit with ours.

So if you are looking for a Squad, check out our website:

We are a squad of 5 full time pilots, all middle aged with kids. I fly CST and we hold Practice on Wed nights, with team nights on Thursday and Sunday nights as well. We have a DCG campaign that is starting up, and we have the creator of the Korean map in house working up missions as well. We can train you for carrier ops, and we have the first full time TBM squad in VTMB-143. Come fly the friendly skies, and let us help you in the not so friendly. We offer Virtual beer and Vargas Girls...Heh? Did I mention our health plan...

Or if you're looking for a drama free environment where you can enjoy the company of all your squadmates, who are of the same variety as you describe yourself, then have a look at the War Hawks.

We have a very good core group of flyers, flying everything from fighters, light, medium and heavy bombers in IL-2 to the bi-planes of World War 1 in
Rise of Flight. We've even got a few helicopter pilots on board flying and fighting in the KA-50 BlackShark helicopter sim from DCS.

Have a look at us at: The War Hawks and see for yourself.
