We'll be on Hyperlobby tonight (Friday, 12 March) at 4:30pm Pacific US time, and Tommorow (Saturday, 13 March) during the day. I'd like to welcome anyone interested in joining us on these days to email me at raf74jazzman@aircombat.net so that I can get you a password to the practice/training server.

I would also like to encourage everyone to look over our website, and read our Squadron's "Code of Conduct" which is linked to from the book in the center of the desk. It outlines what RAF No.74 Squadron is about. You can also feel free to register at our forums, linked to through the phone on the left hand side of the desk.

There is a link to our website in my signature, as well as in the subject line of this post.

S!~ and Thank You.

Salute

Royal Air Force No 74 Squadron is one of the most distinguished Squadrons in the Royal Airforce and had an excellent record during WWI and WWII. Some of its pilots include "Mick" Mannock 73 victory WWI Ace, and "Sailor" Malan, 32 victory WWII Ace.

In WWII RAF74 flew during the Battle of Britain, in the Mediterranean, and during the liberation of France and the conquest of Germany.

RAF No. 74 Virtual focuses on 'real' fighting enviroments, although we are somewhat flexible in that we will fly no-icon, or limited icon.

We like to fly historically accurate aircraft for our Squadron, but we also will fly any other Allied aircraft if the scenario calls for it.

Historically, RAF74 flew:

Spitfire I
Spitfire II
Hurricane II
Spitfire V
Spitfire IX
Spitfire XVI

We also have an active "Bomber" flight, B Flight, which flys all Allied bomber types, including the Sturmovik, and TB-3. We are looking forward to the release of a flyable B-25. B Flight also flys AI bombers such as the B-17 and Bleheim in servers which allow that.

We also have Fighter-Bomber specialists, who fly the P-47 and P-38 in the ground attack role.

We use the Team Speak Voice Comm system, and we fly with an emphasis on Leader and Wingman pair systems.

We have custom RAF74 skins for all the aircraft which we fly. Each pilot has individual numbering on his aircraft.

Check us out if you are interested.

Awesome website.

Mr. Jazz Man, check your email. I see a battle brewing between your Spits and our 109s over the beaches of Normandy.

A shameless and overdue bump from the Fighting Cocks of 43 Squadron. Agree
