This thread is for squadron C.O.s If you have questions you can ask them here and perhaps someone can help you. Or if you want to acknowledge an outstanding squad member you can post it here. Need advice on webspace? Post it here. This is a new idea... and I got it from a thread in the GD.

Please... no trolls and no nonproductive posts. Id rather see this as a short but sweet thread than a long and useless one full of nonsense.

Hey Bearcat,

GREAT IDEA!!! I'm not a CO anymore, but I am an XO, does that count?

Got a question about SE, is there an idiots guide to any where. I am new to servers and scripts and I finding out how much of a bear it can be (no pun intended), do you have advance--besides the SEOW website--of where I can find additional information? Thanks.

S!

Hi Sarge!

Regarding SE, check out this. There is a short but sweet 10 minute setup instruction regarding SEOW. I´m no good at stuff like that either, but I got it up and running and it is truly worth it! Great stuff. GL! Thx to 79vRAF!

Ok.....I'm not giving up on getting the 334th listed on the squad page!

What does a guy have to do around here to get on there? I sent the "Extremeone" 3 emails so far requesting to get our squad listed on there.

Do I have to bribe people??? Yeeeesh.

Our squad has been trying to get on there for over a year....three seperate people from the 334th even the CO has tried for months and NOBODY wants to give me an answer WHY???

I fed up.......but I'm not giving up.

Help me out here guys!

Cheers!

LOL.. Thats not you is it.... Hammer We had a guy like that... we started to just go without him. Before he stopped coming around all together he straightened up. I think he dropped out of simming eventually.

Bear I thought I would post here too about the Squadron Page. I have two squadrons on there and you can delete one of them. The one that is no longer used is VMF-312 under my name VMF-312_530Hawk. I got yelled at from another squadron with the same name so I never used it.

I already emailed an email update request for the other squadron page. I do still use it and the name sometimes when flying on the Okinawa map although it is basically inactive.

VFS-214_Hawk is my fly alone name.
VBF-83_Hawk is my squadron name listed on the sqaudrons page.

VMF-312_530Hawk can be removed and is no longer used.

I have a question that folks might know the answer.

I'm the CO of a Squad who also the poor bugger that has to host when folks want a game and the question is: I alway's put in the description of the game 'No vulching' but the buggers from other squads that join do, I know you can kick them off your server but how is that done?

Any clues folks?

I would give them at least one warning first, before I kicked them. If you have tokick then...

shift/tab will bring up console.
type in user
look for the # of the person you need to kick
type kick# 6(or whatever # they are.

I usually warn them first, and if I have to kick someone, I let them know why they're being kicked.

I give them a warning or three and if they don't behave (last friday springs to mind) and in the end I or other's will pick on them/or him and shoot the buggers down - even if we're on the same bloody side.

Thanks for the info m8 I'll give it a try tonight Thumbs Up

I would like to acknowledge my XO and best friend for past 6 years. VMF-214_HaVok has done a excellent job running our squadron while I was deployed to Afganistan for 16months. He did great job keeping things together and keeping the squad alive. Thanks Havok good friend and excellent wingman. You guys see him on your team wing up with him, he save your keyster.

HotSpace...We in the RAF662 have been dealing with weenies like that since the Ark Royal days in CFS1. Everyone knew that Ark rooms were 'no shooting', but there were always those that thought it was fun to disturb us. We would sometimes just boot them, but as often as not, one or more of us would just keep shooting them down until they got tired and left. It's not much fun if you have 10-12 people all ganged up on you at one time. Their 'fun' quickly turns into a nightmare Smile

We will do the same thing even now in our 'Deck Parties' Your whole squad is probably on Ventrillo or Team Speak, and the idiot most likely isn't, so, depending on your mood, you might give our solution a try. Have everyone in your squad go after him, regardless of which 'side' you are on. I'll guarantee that he will leave, and won't try that again in any of your games. I see booting as giving a child a 'time out', and shooting them down until they leave as giving him a 'spanking'.
