The Tangmere Pilots (TPs) have been in existance for over three years now and currently have three squadrons:No1,No601 and No145 and 33 members, personally i have been with them for three years,(which i believe is a measure of how much i personally enjoy it)! and the large majority of our members(apart from the new chaps) have been with us over 18 months.

Now due to Real life commiments we have a few vacancies.

If you like historically based missions and can commit to a Tuesday and/or Friday but more importantly every Sunday and like to fly RAF types then please drop by our website.

http://www.tangmerepilots.co.uk/

Tuesday we train in our squadrons 20:00-22:00
Fridays we fly all together "en masse" 20:00-till late and sundays we fly our career mission at 21:00

We also run a COD server and also participate in BF2 and Falcon4(these are "out of hours games" and not a requirement)
We also own our own ventrillo server.

We prefer European applicants but we do have several USA based members who can attend our hours.

Our current nationaltiy list includes:

UK
USA
Ukraine
Belgium (Our training officer)
French
Philipino
Italian
Rhodesian
Grand Caymanian

See you in the air somewhere???

Shabba!

The louder you scream, the faster the ride at RAF Tangmere.

btw. I am one of the U.S. members and manage to join in on the fun without too much trouble.

What nationality is BB's bat man?
I've heard your screams Hatter and do not fear, I've recommended you be transfered to a Gladrag squadron. Googly

FREE BEER! WHERE!

I hope you don't mean Moggy's home brew. I've been using that to clean the bath!

Free beer! I say chaps, jolly good show.

Just passed out from basic flight training and am looking for a posting. I shall drop a line to the wing to see if I can get posted to Tangmere rather than some god forsaken 13 group squadron miles from the battle.

Cheers
Stuntie.

Good luck Stuntie, remember things could be worse...you could be posted to 145 or 601! Sad Eyes

How do you actually apply, I couldn't see any application forms on the site, or any recruitment area of the website?

Also what do you fly?
Is it just Hurricanes?

Cheers

Unfortunately Bunny has escaped and gnawed his way through a few cables and as a result we're having a few issues with the website. Our forum is still working and you'll be able to post in the guest forum, you can find it here; http://www.tangmerepilots.co.uk/forum/
Tigertooo is our recruitment chappie and he'll point you in the right direction if you're interested.
As to our aircraft, we''re currently flying in our Burma campaign. Spitfire VIII's and Hurribus II C's are our current mounts at the moment but we have flown a few others.

It's a very anal squad with little humour. If that's your thing, go for it. Good teamwork, though. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Oh dear, someone who didnt make the cut doesnt like us Truce

If we were anal and had no humour i dont think we would still be around and going strong for over 5 years now. Anyway i am sure anyone who wants to join us is more than capable of making up their own mind about what kind of squad and people we are. Veryhappy

Nice to hear from you again though Bulldog Wink2
